  1. Had my Outback since Jan 24 on a 21 plate. Battery has let me down 7 times. Going in for service this month. Dealer previously said the battery was ok after they checked it, after it was flat in May, but mechanic privately admitted that OEM batteries were not the greatest. There's a class action in the US on this but apparently only applies there. It is a shame that the bean counters at Subaru have let down an impressive car by cheapening a core item.
  2. The dealer checked my flat battery for me a few months ago and I was politely told it was accepting a charge with no noticeable drain. Therefore a warranty replacement could not be justified. Just had my car started by the AA after my 4th flat batt in 6 months, this time after two weeks away on hols (bought car in Jan 24). AA man noticed a 2A drain after the car was switched off with no drop over the course of the next 10 minutes ! Something in the car is causing this issue. I'll feed this back to the dealer tomorrow. Not hopeful though.
  3. Never had a flat battery in 40 years until I bought a Subaru - Then 4 times in six months, rest of the car is good, but the battery is just not up to the job. I'd be interested in this too. There doesn't seem any other way to effectively feed this back to the maker.
