  1. Will certainly be attending, though it might be my last one as I am preping the SVX for sale, storage space will be going over the summer and don't want it sitting on the road full time. Might be having regular sunshine by July haha.
  2. I will be approaching from the south, though only from Leicester, but if there is a need to pause at Leicester Forest Services on Sunday I can be there. to join a convoy.
  3. Hi All, after some urgent advice please. Had the SVX about 6 weeks now and the only issue I've had is that occasionally the battery would go flat overnight. I'd put this down to a sticky brake light switch and a quick charge would solve the issue - until friday night. Car dead, no central locking from alarm fob, no dash lights and no start. Saturday morning I put it on charge for a few hours but no joy. Tried to jump start from my van, but still no joy. Called Flux rescue and after a 3 hour wait guy turned up who could not even check battery! He came to the same conclusion as me, the immobiliser is the culprit. Can anyone recommend a good Auto-electrician in the Leicester area who would come out and sort me out? At the time of the 'recovery guy' visit the dash lights and the brake lights were the only ones that would light up, no other electrical activity, though when he connected his jump starter I'm pretty sure the starter engaged but would not start. This only happened once and no starter activity since. This morning there is no electrical activity at all. Pretty sure the Laserline is not an OEM fitting so not a problem if the unit is just removed and replaced with another, if so, any recommendations? Although it is not a daily driver I do need to get the car on the road again, thanks. Peter
  4. Only 3 Salsa King! If only there had been 2 other SVXs - lol
  5. Arrived at 9:45 and I was in the overflow car park. Good to meet up with a few of you and a chance to move the car into the main area. Called in on Chris on the way back and we had matching SVXs on the drive. Happy days.
  6. OK sorry about this, but had Photoshop running and had a bit of a play - Land cruiser anyone?
  7. Once the wheels are done next up is some minor dent removal and after that I've got a few scuffs to sort out myself. Much as I love my job, doing it for free at the weekend always seems like hard work :-)
  8. I'm up for it. The SVX is not designed for hooning round the lanes but a pint with some SOC members sounds like a good afternoon.
  9. As is typical on a 21 year old car the wheels on my SVX are showing signs or earlier repairs and corrosion so they came off today ready for the whole works, shotbast, fill and repaint in original colour. Will post pictures of the end results.
  10. Looks like I will be able to attend with the SVX, should know for sure within a week. Soon as I know for sure will sign up and pay. Peter
  11. Just had a look round some of the other forums, this seems to be typical of the effects, sounds like it does the business: http://www.bmwforums.info/bmw-chat/8771-terraclean-treatment-review.html

    Peter's SVX

Some plain vanilla pictures of my newly bought SVX on my drive. A 1993 car with 65,000 miles pretty well as bought apart from a good clean. Some more artistic pictures will follow I'm sure.
  13. Not only is it the paint code but there is only the one mix so they match should be good.
