down from the turbo, it attaches to the pipe just behind / after the heat shield, Ill get a pic in a minute. The guy I bought it from breaks imprezas and said it had come from a wrx

Yep that one. Do all imprezas have that there? Just that all the decats I saw on ebay didn't have to hole to fit one. I don't think so anyway

Spotted first problem before I even start. My original has what I'm assuming is the sensor fitted in top of the down pipe. The decay one I have doesn't have any where to fit this :-/ .........

may be a little longer than thought, the bumper is too low for the ramps i have so that's got to come off first, shouldn't be a big task though

finally getting round to fitting the down pipe later today :D just hope the existing bolts come out without issues

so I got out bid on yet another mid decat pipe last night, that's three now so I went back on ebay this morn, and come across a 2.5 inch decat down pipe rather than the mid pipes I've previously been looking at, which was listed 10 min from my house :) picking it up tonight so will try and fit later in the week

I think so too because it looks the same as other decat pipes just with the res box in..... If it was just eBay listing that said decat then I'd be weary but having Googled it loads of sites say the same as the ad

Also just Googled the part number and it comes up on various sites as cat by pass pipe or decat depending on the site

It must be decat or it wouldn't have "not for road use" engraved on it with the part number though ....

So in conclusion are we saying the other decat pipes that are available are longer than that one to replace the mid pipe and second cat ?

Did you have a straight decat or the magnex with the resonator box on? iIve seen a magnex with res on ebay thats all, and its cheaper than the normal decat pipes so just curious as to whether its worth getting

See I like the idea of total decat but it will be massively loud won't it? Think I'm going to get a silicone hose set this month and exhaust next. See what happens Why do imprezas have 2 cats anyways ?

i thought that with the resonator too, would there be any noticeable difference driving it? Seen them for roughly 50 quid so no much to shell out but just wanted opinions first :)

I've had magnex on previous cars. And got the back box on mine now and they seem very solid systems Just wondered how much louder it would be? Whether it would be a bit o.t.t... but then again that's what it's all about isn't it :)

I have I 2000 impreza turbo which has a magnex oval back box, the rest of the system is is standard. Would I see / hear any gains by getting a centre decat pipe? I've seen a magnex centre decat pipe with a resonator box in. Does any body have experience or heard these?

Nice car mate. where did you get the lip from and which is it? I'm looking for one to go on mine. And also wheres the dash pod from, Mines got one from previous owner but looks rubbish and doesn't really fit properly.
