  1. funny feet were great :D dogconker - I guess your messages are Sent from your iPhone using Tapatalk :P
  2. is it at all relevant to a quantum effect?
  3. Didn't know that! If people want to keep fuel costs down, why not use 99ron (£1.40 a litre) and mix with 20% meth (1.00 a litre) ? Averaging only £1.30 a litre, so cheaper too. Great bang per buck and cheaper too (will need a map tweek though)
  4. we had a meet at Europa once, about 20 of us turned up, in cars from 5 to 20 years old. all they wanted to do was sell us a brand new one :( if they had got 5 cars that were trade in's and decent prices, I'm sure they could have made some sales
  5. has Scottishtaffy won then? erm, no! :D
  6. I've been going there for over 5 years, we used to have our 'Sheffield scoobies' meet there every month martin used to work in Europa Subaru, so you get the same full main dealer mechanic experience and probably better workmanship too
  7. welcome to the club it looks great :D
  8. I started watching rallying in the late 80's and there were the swb audi's and delta integrales, then the early 90's and Scooby's and evo's came along. the Scooby just had it all. I wanted one for years, but had to travel miles for work and couldn't justify the extra fuel cost. just before my dad passed away, he said 'enjoy yourself while you're here' and 'you can't take it with you', after he passed away I got a new job with a work van (sparky) and I could afford it as a weekend toy, that was 6 years ago and I haven't regretted it one bit. when I go out of the house to work I look at it and it makes me smile. the noise is awesome, especially through tunnels, I've got 2 kids and they both love it and all their mates love it too. when I took it for a service, a mate gave me a lift to pick it up, I said he could drive it home, he loved it, he was smiling for weeks and still talks about it now
  9. mainly Tesco 99 or sometimes v power, I'd never use anything else. why by a performance car and put poor fuel into it? maths question - 95 ron is 10p a litre cheaper than 99 ron, how many litres of cheap stuff will you have to use to save up and pay for the engine rebuild?
  10. depends if you were stood near someone talking rubbish or not :D I've got a black blob with anthracite wheels, I'm a sparky and was talking about screwdrivers I think I was taking to you :P
  11. I drink kestrel Super, special Brew and orangiboom super. Not keen on skol super or tennants super
  12. I'd go for the WRX if a sport is turned into a STI look a like, sometimes the insurance is more expensive than a standard STI! the MPG isn't much different either, my WRX is running 330BHP and I get 22MPG just knocking about and the odd blast, plenty of pop's and bang's! and I can get 36MPG on a run I wouldn't bother with dual maps though, it's not worth the hassle, if you want better MPG wear lighter shoes :)
  13. I heard about this forum at the SSS meet last night, so I thought I'd join up. I've got a blob wrx running 330bhp, and 'no' I don't want an sti! It was a good meet and met some sound lads Big thanks to Martin at SSS for letting us have a meet there
