For anyone attending the convoy for Wayne, his partner, Julie, has a list of details so everyone knows what to expect. Please give it a read through. Cheers Waynes Convoy: All welcome, Wayne would have appreciated strangers from all over for the convoy, if they are car enthusiasts then that will be all Wayne needs to see. Please arrive by 12 Noon latest, however, if you wish to arrive earlier, The Masons serves breakfast & coffee as well as alcohol. We will be arriving & driving through the Masons Car Park from Northfield Lane entrance at 12.15/12.20, please ensure our path is clear, we will drive straight through, we will leave the car park onto Bawtry Road, cars in the masons can then pull out behind the convoy, go all the way around the roundabout and down towards Herringthorpe Crematorium. If cars are in the overspill car park at Trinity Catholic Church, on Northfield Lane, please feel free to approach the roundabout at Northfield Lane, rather than go through the Masons carpark. You can join the convoy as it comes around the roundabout Masons Arms Wickersley Bawtry Rd (Car park off Northfield Lane try S66 2HF) S66 1JY (might be bawtry road postcode) Trinity church (Across & down a little, from car park to Masons Car Park) Northfield Lane, Wickersley S66 2HF Herringthorpe Crematorium Ridgeway S65 3NN On arrival at the Crematorium, people are welcome to follow in to the car park. Mark (ST) Paul (Subaru) & James (Lotus) will follow the hearse due to driving family, subsequent cars following, please turn right into the large car park. Anyone not attending the Service are more than welcome to the Masons where we should be arriving around 1.45/2pm Many thanks to everyone.

Hi everyone, just to let you all know Julie is really looking forward to the convoy. I know many of you have other commitments and can't make it for those reasons. However, if you're unsure about joining the convoy due to not fully knowing Wayne, I can assure you after speaking to Julie myself that is not an issue whatsoever. If you simply want to show your respects for a fellow car enthusiast then please don't hesitate to join us. Julie said her and Wayne would absolutely love all car enthusiasts no matter what their preference to join the convoy. All truly are welcome. That being said, please ensure to be fully respectful of the event. We don't want to cause any issues. I'm aware some of you guys are down as "going" for this event so I have let Julie know there will be at least 20 of us Subarus tagging along so far. :) Cheers everyone!

Hi all I know I don't come on here much recently (I'm snowed under with work), and it's a sad reason that I'm posting about, here goes I heard about a crash in Rotherham that involved and evo, sadly the driver passed away 😢 His wife is wanting cars to attend and give him a big funeral procession to the crematorium in Rotherham All makes and models are welcome, let's see if a few people on here will help to give him a big send off http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=531669 Please share with any local groups or forums that you are on

Gutted for you I wrote my last car off (3 years ago) and would still prefer that over my newer car Unfortunatley, you doing a U turn might go against you. I don't know the full story, but 50/50 doesn't sound too bad. I had a bump a year ago in my work van, I had dashcam footage (1.2 MILLION views), his insurance have accepted liability, but I still haven't been paid out for my loss of earnings, it's going to court in November and I still have a 'claim pending' so policies are hard to get at a good rate. accept 50/50 and move on, hope you can get car sorted

I was on my laptop yesterday and it shows a video. I'm on tapatalk now and the video isn't visible 👎 Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

I saw this on Sunday, I'm surprised he can even get in the car with balls like that! 140MPH around corners!!!!

the clutch is the weak point at 350bhp+ the gearbox is known to be good for 380bhp, but some have run 420bhp with sympathetic launches the block is good for 380bhp with supporting mods
-
Have a rolling road session first and find out what you have got, and if it's safe 330-350 can be had for about £1k your injectors are light blue 420's (max low 300 bhp), so would benefit from pink 550's - £150 VF35 or TD05 turbo (350bhp max) - £300 3 port boost solonoid - £30 big top mount (you might have) - £150 open source remap - £350

I use 'webbs auto bodyshop' in Denaby. They did a full colour change respray from dark blue to black for a mate (we both know the owner) for £1,500. The quote was for £1,200, but there were loads of scratches and parking dents and that put the price up. I had a front end respray on my last blob, that was only £400 in metallic, obsidian black.
-
What colour is it now? going from dark to white can be difficult. How thorough do you want them to be? door shuts? boot opening? under bonnet? engine bay? Inside boot? if the car doesn't have any dents and you just want the outside doing, it's still going to be £1,500+

Hi mate welcome to the club sorry to hear about the damage. Have you got any photo's from before the damage?

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
BoozyDave replied to stants's topic in General Subaru Chat
How do you rate it compared to the old 3 red bottles? I have used them (when I did a clay bar) and got great results Today I have spent 8 hours washing mine. Jet wash, shampoo, jet wash, microfibre dry, dodo juice paint cleaner, dodo juice pre wax cleanser, dodo juice protection wax (finger applied). very happy with the results, lovely, deep shine. It's got rid/hidden a lot of the light scratches and swirl marks too. I didn't have time to do they clay bar as well -
A Bloke calls a weight loss company and orders their 5 day – 5 lb weight loss programme. The next day, there's a knock on the door and standing before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe from J.C. dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck.. The sign reads, 'If you catch me, you can have me.' Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few kilometres later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up. The same girl shows up the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 5 lbs as promised. He calls the company and orders their 5 day – 10 lb programme. The next day there's a knock at the door and standing before him is the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, 'If you catch me, you can have me'. Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and despite his best efforts, no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape. Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 10 lbs, as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order their 7 day – 25 lb programme. 'Are you sure?' asks the representative on the phone.. 'This is our most rigorous programme.' 'Absolutely,' he replies, 'I haven't felt this good in years.' The next day there's a knock at the door and when he opens it he finds an athletic, well hung, muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, 'If I catch you, you're mine.' He lost 31 lbs that week. .. ..

bov/dumpvalve ??
BoozyDave replied to classic mica's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
A recirc will be fine :) I had a forge dump valve/VTA/BOV (was mapped for) and tried different spring/washer combinations and every gear change was jerky. I put on a std recirc and it was fine. The lag/jerkyness can be due to air that has passed the air flow meter (and calculated for) gets lost from the system when you change gear, so when you accelerate again for a split second the mixture is very rich due to the missing air -
bov/dumpvalve ??
BoozyDave replied to classic mica's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
why do you want a dump valve/BOV? My last car had one fitted when I bought it, I thought the hesitation/lag/jerkiness was just a subaru thing, found out it ran a million times smoother with a standard recirc valve fitted. I wouldn't consider fitting one to my present or any future cars. If you just want a noise and want everyone to know you are changing gear then get one ;) -

Got my renewal from Hastings Direct
BoozyDave replied to Rizmo's topic in Subaru Insurance Discussions
I had a quote from flux for my work van and car. Both were cheaper than renewals and took them both out. but when I got my car policy through my car was limited to 3k per year (I had done 5k in previous year). I phoned up within 7 days to check the details and it would cost me more than my current policy (Keith Micheals) in 'admin fees, extra mileage fees, etc'. I cancelled and got stung with the cancellation fee as well. 1 week insurance with flux cost me £130 :o £130 for 1 WEEK :o I only use the car on a weekend and car is on drive during the week, so only about 20 miles of driving for £130. £6.50 PER MILE!!!! Adrian Flux? more like Adrian Fcuks You -
the clutch transfers power from the engine to the gearbox/wheels, if you put your foot down and the revs go up, the clutch plate isn't transferring the power to the gearbox and is slipping (hence the smell of burning) if I drive normal mine is fine, but on a 'spirited' drive mine starts to smell, but doesn't slip yet
-
also, don't worry about mileage, buy on condition and results of a good test drive my latest blob wrx has 111k and drives better and has less rattles than my last blob wrx with 52k

Hi mate welcome to the club They will be stickers and will come off easy, but I had stickers on my last car for about 3 years and when I took them off the paint polished up great and was nice and shiney. But when it was cold and frosty you could still see where the stickers had been (even after 'paint correction' and clay bar)
