  1. I just spat my kestrel super all over my laptop when I saw the word 'sophisticated'
  2. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  3. gambit, you will never turn up, you can't. I think you are a virtual being, a bot, living in a virtual world Nick, could you borrow a set from someone else at the meet? I think there will be 2 or 3 other blob sti's there
  4. Nice one Ash Gem, there are quite a few ladies that come along. Usually Leanne, Elaine, sometimes Faye, and a couple of other partners that I don't know their names If you are shy turning up on your own, you can meet one of us nearby :)
  5. car looks great, I like the front too :) did you do the tgv delete yourself? was it difficult?
  6. Hi mate Welcome to the club The outfit is compulsory, we all wear the same at shows
  7. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  8. Hi mate Welcome to the club What model have you got?
  9. any news on the BBQ ash? this is on Monday peeps, get yourselves along for a great meet
  10. mine felt like it was running great too, but it was running 1.8 bar hopefully the jubilee clip will have sorted it, but get the CEL reset and then you will know if it's fixed, if not the CEL will come on again £40 to get the CEL reset or £2,500 for an engine rebuild?
  11. can't believe that nick, proper gutted for you :(
  12. I thinks it's air con too, maybe high pressure side. the only cap I have touched is [if you look at your picture] to the right of the top mount and in line with the top row of fins, there are 2 pipes parallel, thin one and thick one, I think they are the low pressure side
  13. nice car, I've got a black blob too :) mine had a cracked tee piece near the DV, it lit the CEL, I looked at the boost gauge and it was 1.8 bar!!!! running that lean can melt the engine :o I sorted the tee piece and then had to get the CEL reset it's easy to fit a boost gauge, the hardest bit is getting the pipe into the cabin :P
  14. Welcome to the club Have you had the codes read? It could be something not relating to the DV. Are all the pipes secure? Have you got a boost gauge? it could be over boosting and running lean, so it could kill your engine. or it could be exhaust sensors getting a rich reading from the gasses after a gear change. Air goes into the engine and is measured with the MAF, so the ECU calculates how much fuel to add. But the dump valve lets some of the measured air out on a gear change, then when you get back on the throttle the mixture is too rich. Try not to drive it hard until you get it checked out
  15. like matt said, has it been mapped for the td05???
  16. That looks loads better, similar to the blob eye.
  17. Hi mate Welcome to the club
  18. Hi mate Welcome to the club Glad you are enjoying the car, they just put a massive smile on your face. Have you got any pics?
  19. Decided to try out demon foam and demon shine, what a load of crap [emoji35] difficult to get an even cover with the snow, then 2 mins later most of it is on the floor. There isn't even a trigger, as soon as you turn on the hose pipe it starts spraying out, the you have to turn the hose pipe off to stop it. Straight away it was leaving streaky marks, then agitated it with a sponge, but still left streaks even with a jet wash. Ended up washing it again with auto glym, then tried the demon shine........[emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] My car now looks dull and streaky
  20. Mine was 247 and 188 at the wheels. That's why I said 225 at the wheels for yours. At 276 it should feel quick, but it won't be as fast as an ST with 280 at the wheels. The 'needs a remap' was in response to the turbo upgrade
  21. I think an ST with 280 at the wheels would be faster. The Subaru will only have about 225 at the wheels. If it's got a simtec fitted, someone has obviously spent some cash on it. I think you have had high expectations and it just hasn't lived up to them
  22. I went out for a spin with MFNick to see if he liked the sound of my exhaust. He also likes the tunnel near my house [emoji12] Also demonstrated the smiles that pops and bangs can give, then spotted the coppers parked up [emoji15]
  23. What a joke [emoji35] What's the point of an agreed value then? Hopefully the ombudsman will see that they are trying to shaft you. Stick to your guns and don't accept anything less Its like them saying a 2.0 Sierra hatchback is the same as an RS500, they are different models, had different quantities built and command higher premiums due to rarity and more sought after.
