Hi to the 03 WRX STI that shared my route along the A317 / M25 / M3 today, that BMW M5 didn't want to play! Lol
  2. I just added a single din alpine unit to my car with a pocket underneath. I followed a youtube guide to removal of the old double din unit then fitted this one. All straight forward enough even for me, and I also cut some lugs on the frame so the pocket slotted in. Door speakers next when I have a chance. :)
  3. Final update then - I spoke to a very helpful parts person at Normandy Garage who got my alarm keypad code from Subaru and informed me that I could change my key fob battery without having to get the fob reprogrammed. So I changed one battery at a time so I could test the theory and all good.
  4. I'm interested depending on the date! :)
  5. Thanks for your help anyway, I'll pop around to the local dealer to see if they have any idea.
  6. Hi Jay762, I thought mine was the M30 but not sure after reading your reply, this is a picture of my key fob. I think I might try and get the keypad number first as if I get the key programming wrong I'm thinking I'll have no way to start the car which wouldn't be funny! Thanks for your detailed reply anyway. :)
  7. Hi all, I'm sure this has been asked before but I could not find it in a search on the forum so here goes. I have a WRX 300 2005 and want to change the key fob battery, does this need to be done by a dealer or can I do it. I've been told it may lose the coding if it's not done by a dealer so I don't want to take the risk. Also does anyone now how I can either reset the key pad alarm or find out what the code is? Cheers
  8. Cheers everyone, I'll give a few weeks then once I've driven it a few times my questions will start. :D
  9. This Prodrive high spoiler.
  10. Also saw a greyish type one going the opposite way with full rally stickers and they waved too. You lot are a friendly bunch! lol
  11. Yes he did, and my son and I waved back. My son loved it especially as I'd given him a scale model of the car.
  12. Hi all, Just picked up my WRX 300 yesterday, then went for a drive through Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire to get acquainted. All I can say is I should of done this sooner. Also funny seeing another WRX in the same colours from the same year on the way home!
