  1. Turning the wheel doesn't seem to make it any different. Tempted to change the ps fluid anyway because I don't know when it was done last
  2. Ok will try it at full lock and some revs see if it's any different. Cheers
  3. No problems at all mate, not overheating, plenty of hot/cold air from the blowers. The water sounds like its being pumped and it does it when I rev. All I can think is air in the system from when the water pump was fitted?
  4. So recently I have been noticing the sound of rushing water from somewhere behind the dash on the passenger side. This must be connected to the water pump because it rushes with the revs of the engine. If I rev the engine from standstill I can hear it sloshing and bubbling, and I hear it when I pull away. I had the cam belt and water pump done a couple of months back so was wondering would it be air in the system and if so is there a bleed valve or a process to remove the air? Anyone else had this problem? And is it what I think it is? thanks in advance!
  5. Also unless you are having issues with a particularly dirty turbo, how would you know if it's actually done anything. If no one can confirm its any good I won't bother
  6. Hi guys, I have recently been tempted to try that Revive turbo treatment cleaner. Purely a peace of mind thing and to help preserve my turbo. Wondered if anyone else has tried it?? I have watched the tutorial videos on YouTube and they say you will see fault codes afterwards that will need resetting. This is the bit I am concerned about. thanks in advance everyone 😄
  7. I've got a 2.5 wrx turbo, I was about to buy the pfr7b but realised they're not for my model. I was going to get the NGK iridium laser plugs, they seem to be the best on the market but just found the on eBay for £50+!! Am I gonna have to cough that up or does anyone recommend anything else?
  8. Yes it is listed on there to fit mine. The mouse is hovering over 'Add to cart' ^_^
  9. Ok so I have done my research and from what I've seen this kit is coming up trumps... http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=10848&cat=96⊂=183&sec=2484&var=25&dc=0&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= What do you think fellas? I am looking to buy this week. Is the Gates one a good one? TIA
  10. Yeah i'm happy to feel stupid when it's fixed for free. The garage had it twice and couldn't find the problem. Time to find a new garage perhaps lol
  11. Yeah kinda my thoughts, whats £40 when it's for your pride and joy! Is it something I should try fitting myself? I'm fine with basic mechanics but didn't know if there was any specialised equipment needed. Be nice to dodge the garage bill but also want the confidence knowing it's done correctly. If it's simple enough i'm always game cos I get to know the engine a little better. Guessing there's a Youtube tutorial out there...
  12. Sorted mine finally. (fixed it a while ago but haven't been on here for ages) I feel really stupid but am posting in case it helps someone else... All the clanging and knocking was a loose clip on the caliper. I finally noticed it one day when I was getting to the end on my tether with the sound. I spotted it but didn't really believe such a minor thing would cause all the noise, surely not!?! But it clicked back into place and I haven't heard the noise since. As stupid as i feel i am glad it was a quick fix and didn't cost anything!
  13. Evening folks. I am almost due for a cambelt on my 07' WRX Hawkeye. I've been reading the recent posts about the water pumps being pretty tough. Does this go for all models? I do have a bit of fun with it but nothing excessive, I live on the isle of wight so no real long journeys and my mileage is only 49k. From what I have read it sounds like the pump might be ok till the next belt but is it really worth the risk? The belt and pump kit here looks good and is £40 less without the pump: http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=10848&cat=96⊂=183&sec=2484&var=25&dc=0&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= Also, are there any mods worth doing while the belts and parts are out the way? Always worth asking that one ;) Cheers guys!
