  1. I see SC have started removing youtube vids because someone has posted the dailymail link in the comment section. A lot of damage limitation being done. Tbh I don't know where to take my WRX now as I refuse to use TRL, AET, Richard Henry and DLM after less than satisfactory experiences. I`ve religiously used SC for the last few years :( I might have to try out RS Tuning in Leeds.
  2. Ben was brave to put it on a forum too as you'll always face the wrath of a 100 fanboys.
  3. Ben handled it brilliantly. Other car owners may have thrown punches or seeked other retribution. I`m sick of Jap Tuners intimidating people with character defamation, legal action and comments that can be construed as physical threats who have a complaint.
  4. It was SC owner Kev`s respone that upset me. Labelling the STI owner a plonker etc trying to discredit him, legal/physical threats? I went through the same over THAT up-pipe.
  5. The ScoobyClinic Facebook page has just hit 10,000 likes, bitter sweet.
  6. Interesting, I was once called over to my car from the SC waiting room after they removed my front bumper, they showed me a huge water leak gushing from the front of the radiator, I told them it was leaking that fast I wouldn't have made it to Chesterfield from Wakefield (2 hour drive at 7am) they pointed out white residue on top of the radiator saying it will have been leaking for ages. A week after a new one was fitted there was white residue on top of the radiator again, just rainwater! I've had issues with many "top" tuners in the North though at some stage. You can't argue with mechanics!!!!
  7. They love each other to bits but we never leave them alone together! My 4yo son v our giant cat

    Snape :(

Rickman has sadly passed away at 69. I loved him as Snape, I was sure he'd be back after creating an horcrux :(

A few flakes in Wakey, no settling. Facebook forecast 56inch
  11. The leveling system has been sped up tenfold!
  12. I was always a COD TDM guy but the huge pvp battles on ESO are very addictive.
  13. Ha, it's just a photoshop. I've thought about a fmic, but it means added weight and more lag for general driving, my turbo doesn't kick in until 3800 as it is :( I don't really want to add more power either. Suntek sport! They are ok for dry launching but I really would like a lightweight performance tyre and I'll have to do my homework. As for the boot spoiler I've agonised over removing it for the strip.
  14. It's very addictive! Handling fast doesn't interest me at all, especially with how bad our roads are so the feeling of fast 0-60mph (0-100mph on the strip) acceleration is everything. I'm just in 4th over the line and it feels a very long gear! I have a recent vid below showing how long my 2nd and 3rd gears are but a lot of people say the 6 speed also hits 60ish in 2nd?!
  15. I'd guess around 1270kg, I've just fitted a 7kg race battery but there's a lot in the pipeline - Polycarbonate windows, carbon fiber panels, carbon fiber propshaft, boot wheelwell raising, speaker removal, lightweight tyres, lighter calipers/disks, lightweight steering wheel. I Might consider ditching the ABS. In the long run I want to dig deep into the 11's whilst raising MPG as a bonus. I kinda like the fact the car would beat any Stock production Subaru on the 1/4 mile and is still below the maximum power levels for the often overlooked but efficient Newage WRX. It's nice to have a bit of headroom for when the block, tyres and oils heat up to help protect the box and rods! A few 700hp+ STI's have run at my local strip and they can't improve on my 0-60foot times so it's definitely a case of making the car lighter and more efficient. It's kinda new territory for the WRX has most 2002-2015 Imprezas need around 380-450hp to manage the time I got on a damp cold track. I'm going to change my gearbox oil soon to Millers Nanodrive low friction oil as most of the drivetrain losses come from the clutch and gearbox oil pump apparently!
  16. He's a big bugger, a bit tricky at grooming time. 30lb Cats in the wild take deer and Ludo certainly takes exception to a brush!
  17. 2 years ago my 2 Maine !Removed! cats that weighed 10lb and 13lb. After watching Maine !Removed! vids on youtube and seeing 25lb whoppers I decided to research breeders and came across a woman selling kittens with well know German bloodlines, she showed us kitten Ludo who was the biggest in his litter and told us his older brother is longer than the former Guinness World record holder!!! She then showed us Ludo's dad who was just insanely big and we decided to buy Ludo, my wife was sold by Ludo's cuteness! He grew up pretty quick! He's currently 30lbs and healthy. but it's his length of nearly 4 foot that might get him the "longest cat in the World" tag one day! ,
  18. I've owned my Blobeye WRX for 8 years now and have mainly used it for drag racing. It has so far recorded a personal best time of 12.44secs @106mph at York Raceway in cold/damp conditions. Not bad considering the 316lbft Spec C STI managed 12.8 in the heat of Japan with a race driver! The car has been very reliable despite poor workmanship and mapping over the years and is currently dyno'd at 332.6bhp 307lbft @1.35psi The only people I let look after my car these days are Pat Herborn and my wife! Due to the WRX gearbox being rated to circa 350lbft I've decided to go the lightweight and efficiency route to quicker times and the mod list so far is: Ecutek remap by Pat Herborn (dyno & road)STI 550 injectorsSTI intercoolerTD05 16g TurboBlitz Nur spec backboxDecat centre sectionDecat DEI wrapped ported up-pipeCobra Sport 3" Race cat downpipeWalbro 255l Fuel pumpNGK PFR7B plugsJR Performance panel filterPerrin Turbo intake hoseSTI intercooler hoseSilicone Turbo/Actuator vac hoses5w40 Millers CFS Nanodrive oil75-90 Millers CRX NT diff oil75-90 Millers CRX NT gearbox oilSubaru Black oil filterRedline Water WetterGFB adjustable bovPerrin Lightweight crank pulleyShort shift gear leverMotordrive 5kg FIA custom racing seatsAircon removedOdyssey PC680 7kg lightweight batteryAlternator cover removedAirbox resonator and intake removedFront bumper bar removedHorseshoe brace removedBonnet sound-proofing removedBoot carpet/jack & tools/jack bracket/spare wheel & clamp removedRear seat sound proofing removedBoot sound deadening half removed*Fog lights and holding brackets removedBoot light bracket removedRoof handle & brackets removedDriver foot rest removed Centre sunvisor removedRoof strengthening plates removedRadiator side brackets removedInjector brackets removedCar stereo & holding brackets removedFront and rear speakers removedAshtray and lighter removedPolycarbonate battery clampCarbon fiber pillar coversSTI boot spoilerSTI bonnet scoopSTI scoop undertraySTI strut braceSTI side skirts17" Rota GRA lightweight alloysNankang 215 45 R 17 91W Sportnex NS-2R Semi Slick TyresTPI lightweight tuner nutsBC Racing BR coiloversSuperpro drop linksWhiteline 22mm rear anti-roll barSWRD grooved disksFerodo DS2500 padsWRX PRO calipersGoodridge Brake hoses5.1 Motul Brake Fluid Fastest run (and back up) to date: The car looking strangely smaller than a classic: So basically now the big question is 'can I hit 11.9 seconds without directly raising the power??!?!!?'
  19. Will you be running a private reg Gambit as to not give the game away??
  20. The Subaru Cosworth STI boasts an impressive 400 ps and the model reaches 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds, going on to cover a quarter mile in 12.75 seconds at a terminal speed of 107 mph - That must mean my Subaru WRX hits 0-60 in around 3.6 secs to run a 12.68 at 104 mph terminal? Anyone know what kind of 0-60 a 1300kg Subaru will be hitting to do a 12.68 at 104mph with a 1.88 second 0-60 foot? I did a timed 0-60 4.5 second run at York last year with 295/265 but I ran the 12.68 1/4 this year with 333/307
  21. Contact Turbosmart, might be buggered.
  22. You have to run it fully closed then fully open and tell us if you notice a difference in running or pops and bangs etc.
  23. The Tuner diagnosing wasn't sure what caused the low compression par se but he did say part of a spark plug tip was broke off. He said botched wiring caused injector interference and that the map was rich on idle. Bore wash! I'm happy with 330hp. Further mods will target WHP only. One thing I did notice is that the car was making 1bar before the remap and also making it at 3800rpm. The interesting bit is that I had no restrictor pill. The scary part is my last 3 mappers all told me they were aiming for circa 1.4bar and none of them told me they couldn't achieve it!!!!!! They must just set wastegate duty and presume the car will make the boost??
  24. The back end of most unmodded Imprezas is quite skittish at slower speeds when turning in tight and apparently the car just as a natural knack of wanting to step out left. Mine certainly handled crud before I spent a fortune on handling goodies. Even now though the back slightly tries to slide left coming on boost.
