It will work i know people have done it and work fine more power then the td04. if you are remapping it bigger injector will be required to compensate for more air forced into the engine

Just had a thought when i fitted the clutch the down pipe gasket at the turbo end it was blowing past did not bother replacing it

The oil I'm using is shell 10w40 any suggestion for a better oil? not noticed any knocking when off the revs i will have a look at the down pipe next time i is on the ramp think its a cheap stainless steel on

Don't think it is bottom end due to i would be there all the time hot and cold and on tick over and through the rev range it would be knocking its ***** off the way i drive it

I have noticed a quite knock coming from the engine it only happens when cold the throttle is lifted slightly for a second. on tick over higher revs or when hot there is no knocking any ideas ? The car is a 2000 turbo

hello and welcome. i have a bit of knowledge with jap cars i would suggest changing the cvt fluid i recommend doing it when the fluid is really hot this may need doing a few times to flush the old oil out hope this helps

Is the tension the same brand as a genuine subaru one?

it could the the mass air flow sensor had the same fault with mine gave it a clean out its now pulls like a train
