Odd VIN HELP
Hello all, I am trying to understand my VIN but it doesnt follow any of the guidance online. (Such as...) http://www.cars101.com/subaru/vin.html My car is a 2003 Blobeye impreza WRX the VIN follows this format JFIGDXXX##X03#### X = Letters, # = Number I have left some numbers and letters in just to make it a bit easier to track. i can get the JFIGD as that is the same as the guide, from Japan made by Fuji, Passanger car, Impreza, 4 Door Saloon. Any help you can give me would be awesome :)

More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
There are specific training sessions for building use that you can do with the cameras, but you don't get any specific qualifications. Level one is what most people want to show your competent in using the camera.

More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
Ahh right. sounds good, the bx is the building model, good for if you don't need the high temperature options. And yea the training is expensive! Level two is more into the science, big jump from the level one, more maths and science evolved for heat transfer and stuff stuff. If you need any advice on the cameras or software give me a shout :) apply to help

More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
We also offer the training. I did my level two not long ago. The level one is great for the basics and gets you fully equipped in using the equipment :) I would imagine the big camera is either a t400 or a t600 series and the smaller ones the ex series all good cameras :)

More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
That's correct.short for Forward looking infra red

More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
Well When you are easy for the next one, you can put my name forward :) we also offer very competitive calibration checks for the cameras

More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
They have a model under 300 that clips onto an iPhone but you can't measure temperature and the quality is terrible
-
More Thermal Images! + Exhaust
That's for the camera I used, they start around 800 pounds and go up, the more you pay the better the quality :)

Carbon wrapped interior trim
My personal fav is the DIY Window tints that have more creases and air bubbles than ..... something that has lots of creases and air bubbles

Creative MODS and DIY
Hello all, I wish for you all to share creative modifications and DIY car fixes you have seen or done! Here is my contribution, its my Mario Mushroom themed gear knob, although the idea wasn't mine, I did make it from a sweet tin! Both good and bad mods are welcome :)

Fastest colours?
hehe, it's the kind of logic that people go ".... what? .... erm no that ...... no you .... erm....." and while they are doing that you sit and smirk (and then drive away in your super fast black car ;) )

Replacement Gear Knob
When i purchased my 03 impreza the gear knob was a shiny black metal ball type thing, felt nice but didn't look great. decided to make a mario themed one for a laugh, it worked but looked a bit odd for the cars style. then purchased a fake momo one from ebay, it looked a bit better but i didn't like the feel, made the gear stick seem too long. painted my original one gloss red, no one but me seems to like it but it feels how i want it too :) so its staying.

is my plate illegal ?
I am pretty sure that... "Sorry officer, it must have shrunk in the car wash" will get any policeman to over see you breaking the law :) (Please don't quote me on that haha)

Carbon wrapped interior trim
I removed my carbon sticker, it was drying up and had some cracks in. tried to replace with a mat black but couldn't push it into the shape of the bit surrounding the radio. ended up straying it piano black. it's okay but I think it could look better.

Fastest colours?
I think Black, One because mine is black... but here is my logic. when you turn a light on, no matter what color the light is it has a very small delay where the light has to travel to your eye, where as when you turn the light of the black hits your instantly.... also black takes less coats of paint, lighter thus faster :)

Petrol Problems
Thanks guys, I can get to either so is there a any difference going to one over the other. Duncan advised against the ecutek map as on my model it adds nothing over the other cheaper maps.
