  1. How old are you may I ask? I'm looking at insurance on a wrx impreza and I'm 20 :)
  2. Okay thanks anyway man :) what type of file does it save and where does it save it?
  3. How do I record them and import the data into racerender?
  4. had a look but couldn't find anything :(
  5. So what info will i get from a cheap and cheerful elm 327 bluetooth obd2? (from 2003 Blob Impreza 2.0 Turbo) in terms of real time data (running through android apps btw) (I say cheap and cheerful as the one i have seen from Subaru shops was around £100) Also is there an app to log the data to play back through RaceRender along side my Dash Cam vid, gps and G?
  6. Hey guys, I am wanting to get RaceRender3 deluxe or ultimate just to do longer videos and to stick together videos (as my dash cam does 1 min clips). but it feels bad paying for it just for this feature. I know that if you get the licence you can use it on up to 3 computers. so my cheaky question is... does anyone have RaceRender3 and have a spare licence (i.e. only uses it on one or two PCs) I'm going on the "don't ask don't get principle" :') Kind regards Chris
  7. Haha awesome! Funny you should say this. I sent an email to pod offering this as a service but got nothing back. 5 pound for an image, who wouldn't want one of their engine for such a bargain.
  8. I will do man! 21st I'm up and running, then down at Sheffield subarus the following Friday for full service and cam belt kit
  9. Yes breaks I can do too, my cars sorn until april so i can either do it in April for breaks or if anyone else is near by and wants their car doing
  10. I don't have a blanket on mine, if you are in the area at all i could do it on yours :) I will also do one from outside, it's not a great surface as infrared still reflects and doesn't emmit well from different materials but you can still get some information from it
  11. No problem man. I did try to do it within this set of images as i can stitch the images together so can show the whole system (in theory) but due to technical issues I will re do this when I do my others
  12. Haha sounds good man, if anyone wants anything particular looking at in more detail let me know I will try and do it when I do my other images
  13. Also unfortunately they won't look through walls like predator did with his :,)
  14. Depends what quality you want, they start at 750 and go up to... A lot, the one I used was around 17 grand
  15. Stay tuned for my better images at a later date :) and maybe some will want to buy a camera ;)
  16. Yea there is no end of uses for it :) and seeing as you voted for my car in the face book picture contest I will let you ;)
  17. Yea, they don't do it often, mainly do to the cost. For example the camera used costs more than my car... And my astra combined haha
  18. Hello all, you may remember a bit ago I posted a thermal image of my Vauxhall Astra, well i had a but of time over the weekend to do some images of my 03 Subaru Impreza Blobeye, unfortunately I had some issues with my memory cards, so many of the good images I couldnt get across. but here is what i managed to salvage :) (just let it idle until warm) some time in future I will do brakes, exhaust and other stuff as well as better quality images, more like this... also, engine bay for your information any questions feel free to ask and i will do my best to answer, kind regards Chris
  19. Very true thanks man :)
  20. according to my manual that covers the 03-05 blob impreza you change oil every 7.5k miles, (12k km) or 7.5 months, which ever comes first. unless you repeatedly drive short distances, keep in extreme cold weather or repeatedly tow a trailer, then you change oil and filter every 3.75k miles, (6k km) or 3.75 months, which ever comes first. I am going to aim for every 4 months, as I do often drive for long distance and most days drive for over 40 mins, but I also do very short trips out as I work 1 mile down the road.
  21. no paperwork, which is odd as everything else has been documented. I will replace all to be safe I think, expensive but it would be more expensive to get it wrong and leave a 12 year old belt on
  22. Also the date corresponds with it being miles and not KM
  23. Hello, I recently purchased an 03 Blob, with 35k Miles on. in my "book of my cars history" a cam belt changed is not mentioned but... on my engine there is this sticker which to me indicated the belts were changed at 29k miles (i know it says km but 18k miles sounds wrong for a belt change) basically how do i know my belt has been changed? and how do i know if it had a full kit change, as I was looking at £380 to have the full cambelt kit, but if I dont need to I wont. any thoughts and ideas? The belt does say Gates on and Micro-v, so is it safe to say it has been changed? next step is, how do i know if it has had idlers and such and do i need them doing and so on?
  24. Thanks for your vote man :) I will do it..And get a replacement for my missing intake duct
