ok , heres what i was looking at ...any thoughts please ? http://www.rhdjapan.com/blitz-dual-sbc-spec-s-boost-controller-black.html
-
that i was not aware of, thanks for the heads up regarding the launch!! funny you should mention boost/vacuum pipes ...i have just ordered a new set..in bright pink from boostjunkies.co.uk so will see what its like once they're replaced :) think i will still be on the lookout for a boost controller and hoping to pick up a good deal from japfest unless there's a special from rhdjapan

no comment she pulls well and hard in all gears right across the range
-
that is the plan, just getting the service stuff out of the way and a bit of a tidy up for japfest ( stonechips and the like really all minor ) and like i said i really dont drive her hard, just a few beans every now & again for the smile factor ;)

all i will admit to is i was in 6th when the boost gauge hit 2 bar with my foot flat and around 4.5k rpm
-
very nice, also very unexpected from a fozzie :o gotta love the "sleeper factor"
-
oh she is quick, definately in the 300+ club ...Left a stunned ninja rider off a roundabout the other day and got a big thumbs up when he caught me at the next one lol I just dont want her going bang prematurely so i rarely feel the need to fully plant my foot

No no internals... And no fuel cut...Just a Walboro 255 fuel pump tsl thunder cat decat pipe and a prodrive rear section ... Was mapped by Richard at fbtuning I believe, although the previous owner said something about launch control ( previously mentioned in a separate thread ) according to the receipt was a remap of the standard ecu. The only reason it stayed below 2 bar was because I saw it and thought oh f**k that's too much and lifted my foot [emoji15] Having said that Richard & fbtuning come highly recommended as a scooby specialist nearest me so I will have have to mention the boost when I get it over to him for its 60k service in a week or two

Can someone recommend a good boost controller, as I think I am suffering from boost creep... Although the cars had fuel pump, exhaust and a remap of the standard ecu ! Now it's not driven hard regularly but if I properly plant my right foot the boost gauge spins to just shy of 1.5 bar of boost and will keep climbing if I don't let off the throttle ...it's gone as high as 2 bar once...so I let off the power ...don't get me wrong, I love the power but as I don't have the knowledge or skills to build an engine I don't would very much rather look after the one I have !!! Thanks

I have a 2004 blob sti with a similar issue, From what I understand it's because the rear shocks are inverted or upside down so over time they lose lubrication hence the noise, you kinda have a couple of options. You can remove, strip and regrease them...which may cure it temporarily You can get them replaced at roughly £275 for a pair of new rear shocks Or you can choose option a whilst saving for a set of coil overs which will fit the right way up and eliminate the re occurrence of the noise in the future. Hope that helps a little ... I chose option c lol

Found this for you, Www.subaru-Impreza.org/downloads/uk300.pdf Should give you an idea about authenticity and factory options Www.subaru-Impreza.org/impreza-checklist.html You can print that to take with you when you look over the car [emoji3] Hope that helps

Would be worthwhile to actually take the the time to sit and read through some of the service history or flick through any receipts to see what has actually been done, a genuine uk300 will I expect have a certificate of installation from prodrive whereas if you find a receipt for aftermarket fuel pump/remap ect that would suggest it being a replica if the is no plate but I am no expert, just trying to offer some common sense

When you get your head under the bonnet, don't just check the engine oil...also reach down behind the turbo and you will find the diff oil dipstick. From the pictures it's pretty tidy and unmolested but don't take anything at face value prod and poke and ask if your not sure !! Oh and as savage mentioned if you get there and the car is already warmed up question it!! Then maybe leave and go back an hour later to start it cold

I should be heading down down early Saturday, but think I will be convoying with a few of the guys from garage D so not sure if I can make the club stand but will definitely swing past and say hi [emoji2]

View a few if you can and take a couple of test drives to get used to how they feel and sound, don't be blinded by the power or smile factor under your right foot. I was almost ready to part with a bit more than you are thinking about just because I wanted one for so long and it looked clean .... However I didn't there was just a few too many minor changes and mods, take a friend with you to act as a conscience if you like and talk you down if you get a bit cash happy ( it helps if they are a bit car savvy also )...I guess what I am saying is don't rush take your time and the right car for you and your budget will come along [emoji7][emoji16]

Leave them off till you get yourself a tub of tiger seal ... Mix that with a tub of araldite... & Maybe some good quality plastic cement or superglue just for good measure then glue the edges and fit them... Once dry remove the whole bumper, flip upside down and either pop rivet or self tapping screw the hell out of them.... Repeat process As above to refit front bumper to car Then maybe you'll be safer But I would still put up cctv just to watch the car !!!
