Damn stone cracked my fog light so searching ebay for a replacement.
Just wondering would a fog lamp from a bugeye fit a blobeye? Or any other model/year fits the blobeye?
Think induction kit is only for big horse power, standard set airbox is quite efficient, go for the cosworth high flow dry panel filter. The oil in the k&n can cause problems to the maf
Thinking of changing the up pipe on my wrx for an sti decat one because of the fear of potential problems with the cat damaging the turbo.
My question is with mine already been mapped by prodrive would I need to get it mapped again if I removed just the up pipe cat?
I'm not really looking power gains just want the car to run safe also don't like the thought of changing prodrives map :/
I'm thinking of selling my 05 blobeye prodrive model, 84k, mot'd to Feb. Clean standard car apart from dump valve, sti spoiler and bumper, never modified or abused, would need around £5.5
Only thing is I'm in northern Ireland
Seen a few non genuine ones on ebay, anyone know if there good enough?
Is it best to go for genuine ones?
Tried to order a set from Subaru parts store and they where having problems with their supplier.
Where else sells them?
Nice car mate, I previously had a white c-pack one for 5 years brought straight from Japan and loved it, great car. Was sad the day I sold it, but needed a car wit more space as wife.
I do prefer the Subaru now, but will always have a soft spot for the dc5
Here's a pic of mine
Just an update on this problem which I have now solved :)
I replaced battery in key fob and drove and stoped at a few places with no problem, so thought I had solved it until I parked up at car park and when I went to start it wouldn't start again! I was parked on hill so thought id try and start it on a roll to see if it would start and it did!! So this tells me its a starter problem and couldn't be the immobilizer.
When I got home I switched the car off, popped the bonnet n had a look around the starter and noticed the single wire connection (signal wire I think) going to the top of the starter looked a bit grubby but before I touched it I thought id she if it would start 1st, and it didn't! So got some contact cleaner and disconnected the wire and cleaned it up the reconnected it and hey presto its starts! Have had no problems now for a few days since so fingers crossed that was all it was
