Cheers thankyou, also im looking at remapping its currently got a 2nd decat and typhoon air filter, factory ppp and running at approximately 257/8 ish bhp. Any suggestions for a good reputable place that can squeeze a little more bhp.

Hi folks, does anyone here know how wide can I go on a set of 18 inch alloys (preferably offset) with stock suspension, on my 09 hatch?

Me and my wife went through go compare, ended up with general accident insurers, non specialist mate, £350 for both of us, my wife also owns a 400BHP porsche panemera diesel, that's £400 with same company! Mind boggles as to why you need specialist insurers. Doesn't matter who it's with as long as your legally covered. Plus anyway, if some idiot hits you your still up that creek without a paddle regardless of a specialist insurer. Company knows of all mods on both vehicles.

Not dismissing the non turbo as a good car, but it's so lack luster in performance, I drove a non turbo when I got mine, car certainly pulls but it's a massive (I mean huge) void in performance compared to turbo versions. Some folks here use specialist insurers for their scooby, and I'm shocked and amazed at the price they pay. My insurance knows of my car being remapped and having upgrades and still pay £350 per annum for two drivers both fully comp. Drive both and see for yourself.

As I said in a previous post we also have a 400BHP diesel panemera and pay Less than the insurance companies quoted for you guys on a scooby.

This is all incredible to me, you guys should try and avoid specialist insurance companies, you seem to be taken for a ride to be totally honest.

That's odd, myself, I'm 32, clean licence, past test at 17, same for my wife, our other car is a diesel porsche panemera, both fully comp on that is £450 with same company, general accident. The scooby was from ssangyong in Wolverhampton, did everything for us, couldn't get a better service, went through all details. Never heard of any insurance higher for first year ownership.

Wow how much!! Harsh, got a few mods on mine was including chip, which insurance know about. But needs must when you want something so bad. Lol.

Yeah tax is a stinger but direct debit isn't too harsh on the wallet, but do use the wife's diesel as it's much better on fuel, and quite alot torquier that the scooby.

I only work a few miles from work, that is the only downside of the scooby is how thirsty they are, I can actually see the needle move, terrible for short distance driving, best stick to other modes of transport, I tend to use my wife's car as it's a diesel.

I average 22.2 mpg out of my scooby, put an average of £110 a month of fuel in her, I also pay direct debit for road tax, this works out to £512 annually. Insurance is around £31 per month so that's not too bad. An average of about £190 a month.

Hi folks, love the hatchback, best looking of the scooby pack in my opinion, prodrive alloys are pretty cool, I have a wrxs with the ppp on it, rear spoiler and prodrive alloys, whole car in black looks demonic and very menacing.

Welcome aboard, you'll love your new scooby, I'm with general accident regarding insurance, I have an 09 impreza wrxs ppp and pay £350 full comp for myself and the wife, we have both been driving for over 10 years with full no claims. But they are a pretty good insurance company.

Sweet motor, I'm have a black 2009 wrxs 2.5 ppp, been further chipped and runs on the dyno at 330bhp, few more engine mods to sort. Look forward to seeing what your going to do with her.
