  1. Hi guys... Update n advice again time.... Afterdriving car today I had bonnet open and I could hear a hissing sound coming from what seems to be down under/around the turbo area... Could this be anything to do with my compression problem?
  2. Didn't check much to be honest I just managed to get a pair of heads from a rally shop who assured me they were in perfect condition etc... New belt kit new gaskets just got the thickness sizes from goole lol.... Im not a mechanic so I was surprised I got it back running all by myself to be honest....

  4. Had replacement cylinder heads on at the beginning of year and all new timing belt due to belt jumping teeth on timing so I swapped the cylinder heads over etc new belt kit etc been running ok for about 3 4 months but now I've this problem

  6. Hi guys... My 2002 wrx has just started to run rough more on tick over once driving seems ok.... I've had a compression test done and cylinder 1 is really low compared to the rest and the car is smoking much more... Is this a valve or piston problem and how I go about checking and fixing.. Ian
  7. What's easiest way to check turbo oil sills? If I take the intercooler off and find oil is that the turbo then?
  8. Mostly after I've accelerated then come to a stop there seems to be smoke coming past the car etc it's never loads unless I boot the car hard

  10. Hi guy... Recently my 2002 wrx has started to smoke not too much when idling but if I give it abit of a boost I down the road it seems to smoke much more... Is there a quick easy way of finding out if it's the turbo or not?? Is there any thing I can buy to help the smoking issue also is there a better grad oil to help this... Cheers guys

  13. Thort I'd update this post.... Car had slipped on timing bending valves so I rebult engine using replacement heads etc and all new bolts n belts now back up n running
  14. Hi guys I have a 2001 bugeye wrx and I'm going to change my oils on rear diff n gear box can someone please let me know what oils to use etc thanks Ian
  15. Ive removed the pipe leaving the fuel filter n put the pipe into a bottle n cranked the engine to see if I had fuel.. I do have fuel lots of it but still no running scooby
