  1. Yeah had similar thoughts myself.. Would he able to check and adjust the ecu then from the results?..if nothing else wrong.? Might see if I can get booked in next week in the morning.. Cheers
  2. Hang in there.. Know ur pain. let me know how u get on later..
  3. Thanks mate.. Fingers crossed.. What you having done to yours?...
  4. Yeah that would be great! Yeah I'm sure it could.. Also could you ask him about Ecu learning issue and whether his remap/software could sort it? Idle is OK not like it's previously run.. but still hesitancy when under load.. Would love to know if he can adjust through the map instead of waiting for 100 turns of the key.. Bet u can't wait lol.. Cheers 👍
  5. Here's the other printouts I have hope you can zoom in enough.. Idle issue has calmed down but still has the hesitancy when under load half and full throttle.. On a happier note my quickshift kit is here.. Will have a look through the history but probably end up buying new.. Finishing at 1pm tomorrow so will have a look and keep you updated.. Cheers
  6. Yeah had a read of the others plug gaps etc.. Thing is it was sudden which made me think sensor was running perfect before that maybe the rough roads around me contributed to it.. I'll have a look now.. Maybe worth ringing them see if they have dealt with similar situation.. 100 key turns to sort out jeez..
  7. Sorry couldn't help it.. know a few around Northampton not scooby specialists though will have a look.. Would a remap sort the idle/rough running issue any quicker lol..
  8. Yeah must be standard .. Yeah I have them I'll get better pics tomorrow.. Will get it re-mapped when ecu finally calms down.. Scooby clinic.. Are you wheels ok?! Will check import car parts for the gaskets as well..
  9. Yeah I'm running a new TD05..sti intercooler plus exhaust. . Maybe mine needs a better map..?
  10. Nice... Yeah going to start the hunt for some upgrades soon.. Got to fix and sell my golf first though..what turbo you running?.. You got pics of your car on here? Regards Ben
  11. Thanks.. yeah she needs a bit of tlc mainly rear arches.. couple of dings here and there.. aiming to get all bodywork sorted and break the 300bhp barrier by summer fingers crossed..
  12. Thanks for that I have noticed very faint smell before now you mention it. Will definitely check that area first.. Probably still on original gasket.. I'll get some pics tomorrow when I leave work hopefully will help diagnose.. Regards Ben
  13. Hi Ghost.. Thanks for that.. Tbf its kind of central where I noticed it earlier looks like it's running down from the top of the sump..which made me think the gasket?! . . I was parked on slight de-cline though. I wiped the sump earlier and have parked on relatively neutral ground tonight so will check tomorrow and let u know which side it's favouring will hold off ordering sump for now then.. Regards Ben
  14. Hi.. Thanks for that..Wasn't sure whether it was an overnight fix or not.. Yeah I'll keep an ear open on here for someone hopefully sorts it's self out.. Regards Ben
  15. Hi People, Thanks for the welcome.. 1. Right I have a couple of issues with my UK2000 Turbo its a 2000 reg car been running fine until one morning the idle went crazy followed by common stalling issue. I diagnosed it myself by disconnecting the MAF sensor which made it drive semi-normal still rough but lacked boost etc common problem as you all know, I purchased a new sensor from fleabay (I know lol) was cheap at £27 fitted it went through the battery off routine to reset ECU as new part fitted etc was not convinced it had reset so I went to the 2 plug option (Green/Black) still had problems with that the Check engine light did not appear when de-pressing the accelerator fully and then to the half throttle position when the key was at number 2 position but did start flashing after a minute or so of idle followed the routine of switching off and disconnecting plugs again. The car is still lumpy.. but the idle has cleaned up a bit not stalling.. but little too much fluctuation for my liking and hesitancy when under load I understand that the new ECU will be learning parameters again how long will this last?..couple of days? week?... If there are any members close or in Northampton/sixfields area that could take a look to check I have followed procedure correctly or missed anything out or any advice would be help-full I can meet also. 2. Also I have noticed slight oil from either sump or the gasket has anyone purchased one recently? seen a couple on fleabay around 60-70 etc any fitment problems/price/location info etc would be appreciated. Hope everyone has a had a good day and to hear from you soon. Kind Regards Ben.
