  1. Welcome from a fellow wrx hatchback owner. 👍 Smart looking motor.
  2. Does anyone know the standard geometry settings for a 2009 WRX-S (Camber, caster, toe and thrust). Also anyone know a good fast road setup?
  3. Can anyone absolutely confirm that a set of Prodrive PFF7 alloys will fit over a set of gold brembos? They are fitted to a hatchback WRX. The wheels are 18x8 5x100 with ET51 offset.
  4. Possibly looking for some 18x8 5x100 alloys that will clear gold brembos. Currently running with spacers but would prefer not to. Ideally looking for Speedline Turini's in Gunmetal if someone can confirm they will go over?
  5. Yeah it was actually a very easy swap. Mine came off a 2005 blobeye and just bolted right up. Haven't got rears which seems to be the complicated part. I got a new set of discs from Ian at Godspeed. Just the same as what's on 2000-2004 sti's I think as they were 5x100 pcd. Think they are 326mm. Went for the g-hook ones. Don't think you need new hoses but I got some stainless ones on while I was in there. Old ones should work though I think. Calipers came with brand new set of PFC pads which seem really good. No noises when cold which I was worried about
  6. Interesting. Are they Prodrive GT1's? If so are they the ET53 or ET48. Think they come in both for 5x100. I've got 6mm spacers on at the moment and that is just clearing them and no more. All I had lying around. Probably get bigger ones. Question for you though about spacers. Do you need to use spriggot rings and extended wheel studs?
  7. Got some gold brembos fitted to the front yesterday. Can't believe it...alloys don't fit over them. Running 18" GT1 7.5in 5x100 ET53. Despite the research I still got it wrong. Going to have to run with spacers which I'm not to happy about. Just thought I better give you the heads up that not all 18's fit like some threads out there suggest.
  8. I'll be fitting brembo calipers with PFC's in a week or so to a hatchback with some g-hook discs from Godspeed. Will let you know what I think :)
  9. Cheers for the advise 👌 I've been in touch with Ian at Godspeed so hopefully he can help me out.
  10. Have you worked out what discs?? 170 or 190mm handbrake?
  11. Do you guys know what size the handbrake is on the 09 WRXS hatch? 170mm or 190mm. There is so much conflicting info on this subject. I have a set of 2 pots for the rear and a bracket. Just trying to get the right discs sorted (290mm with a 5x100pcd?) Don't want to buy the wrong ones. Still trying to source some brembos for the front (gold or black they both work right?) or maybe even some Subaru 4 pots. Would the 4 pots use the standard discs (294mm) and brembos use 326mm? Also I'd read that running brembos at the front with no upgrade on the rear would give a bad brake bias, do you think it will be ok with Subaru 2 pots at the back instead of the brembos all round?
  12. Looking for bits a pieces to upgrade my WRX-S. Anyone got anything up for grabs?
  13. No worries. Cheers anyway
  14. Gambit are the power flex bushings for a hatch?? If so can you confirm the part numbers if they are still available?? Is the rear one adjustable caster?? Would you be willing to take £80 for the three? Front arm rear bush - pff69-502gblk Front arm front bush - pff69-502blk Steering Rack bush - pff69-504blk
  15. I'm looking for the same info. So if you find out elsewhere let me know. Found this on scoobynet. Might be helpful. http://www.scoobynet.com/wheels-tyres-and-brakes-13/1005714-sti-brembo-upgrade-for-2008-2011-wrx-while-staying-5x100.html
  16. Appreciate that Tidgy. The Gates timing belt kit says that the pulleys and tensioner are made by the same people that Subaru are supplied with Koyo and NTN and the water pump is made in Japan - GMB. Can pick that all up for £200. Would that seem like a good replacement? Yeah once ive gathered all the mods together I'll be booking it in with Andy Forrest to get it mapped 😁
  17. Looking for a bit of advice/recommendations. Basically need to change the timing belt on my WRX-S hatch and am not sure what option to go for - Gates, Cosworth, Sti, Tomei belt?? Also whether or not I need to replace the tensioner, pulleys and water pump?? Seems like a good idea to do everything while I'm in there but is it actually required at 66000 miles?? If I was changing the water pump what's out there? Genuine one from Subaru is £212 which I refuse to pay 😜 Can get one from RCM for half that, but have also found blueprint and aisin ones for £40-£60. Has anyone any experience with these? The car is standard at the moment with the exception of and H&S mid section but I'll be installing Perrin intake, lightweight pulley, FPR, Fuel Pump, 3 port boost solenoid and BOV over the next wee while. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers
  18. Yeah I'll take it for £150. No bother coming over to Workington. Would be on Friday late afternoon/early evening? That suit?
  19. Any chance you'll take £150 for it? Where abouts in Cumbria are you? You got any other interesting bits that will fit a 09 hatch?
  20. That would be brilliant. Down in York next week so potential to dive across.
  21. Looking at some uprated roll bars and end links, possibly some sti 4 pot calipers for the front. After that perrin intake, Fuelab pressure regulator, gfb BOV, process west verticooler and turbo intake pipe. But will be a while before I've got all that together before install and Andy Forest map hopefully.
  22. Picture sorted 😜
  23. Just wanted to say hey. Had my WRX-S for just over 2 years. All standard at the moment with exception of a stainless steel mid section to match the Prodrive back box. Hopefully going to be doing some mods soon so thought I'd better join up for when I might need some advice/parts.
  24. you have any photos? Is it in black or red?
