All cars are slow, compared to 0-60 in just over 3 secs on a bike! It's the reliability and low depreciation that is attracting me.

I came across a dealer, not far from me by accident the other day and I didn't know that Subaru still sell Ford Focus size cars. No one in the motoring press seems to have reviewed one. As I'm about to change my car and fancy something different, maybe the car gods have sent me in the right direction. I was also looking at a Auto box, but the type of car/stroke buyer may be put off, as it's a CVT non paddle shift type. I'm not interested in performance as I ride a bike to get my jollies and points! :-(

Hi guys, I'm going to buy a new Impreza 1.6 RC. Can someone advise whether I should go for manual or auto? I will be keeping the car for 5 years and do about 6k a year. On Autotrader, auto's seem to hold their value better. My preference is Auto but I don't want to make an expensive mistake. All advise will be gratefully received, thanks.
