Overheating 2008 fxt onhot day up hill
moshe_levy replied to moshe_levy's topic in Subaru Forester Club
there is alittle bit of oil over the joints coolant leaks i don't have and i don't add coolant or oil ever. some thing i can think of and let me know if i'm right or wrong,is my rear muffler and i'l explain. i have 3" downpipe decat,3" mid pipe and i replaced my rear muffler with some tiny mini one so i can build mine may be cause the pipe is so small inside it bscome bloked and the engin gases can't be released and it causes the heads to get warm on hot days and when climbing hills? -

Hello every one So my car overheated 2 days ago when the out side temp was 40C. It raised up alittle bit from the dead centre,i didn't stop and when the hill ended the gauge gotback to the middle as usual. I have mishi rad,new cups, new pipes, funs working at the right temp, new stat, the only thing i didn't replace is waterpump and HG[emoji26]. When i got home 5-7 minutes later i pumped the hood and the coolant raised alittle bit on the expantion tank, than after it cool down it get back to the same spot. I didn't have the monitoring the same day so by the original gauge i think the coolant temp was on 102-104C. The speed of the car was around the 100kmh,it's 4EAT and i have trans oil cooler and engine oil cooler, the temp of the oil cooler was 100( i have warning at this level) and the oil pressur was around 60-70 PSI. I don't have oil in water or water in oil and i don't lose water. Hope i gave you all the information. What should i do next?? I have to say that same hill less temp outside no overheating accur it stays around the 90C. Thanks everyone Sent from my MI MAX using Tapatalk Sent from my MI MAX using Tapatalk

hello my 2008 XT forester got 102C degree. in here we have now 36 it's very hot. now i have mishimoto rad with mishimoto thrmostat big tmic and external trans oil cooler with fan. it happend to me with the old rad also ones when every thing was stock. today when i stoped the car afterwards i saw water comes out from one of the pipes looks like it happen from pressure in the system. what do you think i should check? maybe it's air in the system maybe it's the cup i use the oem one not the one that comes with the mishi rad. maybe it's the second fan speed that does not work or maybe it's the head[emoji30] . i forgot to mention that when i finish up the the incline and start the descent the car cold back to 85-90 degree thanks Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk

ok i installed today the cooler and the fan with hyden thermostat, that goes into the cooler and the AC consender and into the radiator. i started the car and ran it for 1 hour and the fan didn't work. when i do a short on the thermostat terminals it works. i took the sensor into hot water and it works. so why it did not work on the car? if i will put the sender in the inner line that goes from the trans to the cooler or the outer line never mind, using this T and fitting hose does the sender will not block the oil from moving inside the T, it looks like the sender will screw into the T and block the all place from oil to pass am i wrong? Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk

i have internal filter, but i have to check may be there is plate where the outer filter (other models) should be Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk

ok so there is on the way oil cooler with fan and hayden thermostat, now my quastion is how do i know it's working well? do i have to put oil temp gauge? if i do , where can i attach it ,is it will work if i take signal from the thermostat to the gauge,or i have to put another thrmo unit for the gauge? thanks Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk

the passenger side right? but i think that both of them workes when the thermostat open...? so what's the function of each one? Sent from my SM-G610F using Tapatalk

hello i want to install auto trans oil cooler with fan,now i want to take the signal from the radiator fan to the cooler fan so the cooler fan will work when the rad fan works. my quastion is which rad fan should i take the signal. they both works together, does one works only when AC is on,there is high and low spin? thanks.
