  1. Hey all. Looking to get an aftermarket filter that will sit in the original housing. I've always gone with K&N in the past but I've been doing research through google and a lot of people are saying that pipercross dry foam filters have been the better choice. Just wanted to find out what you guys here are using and if you've had more benefits from either before? Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Well I managed to take out the light fitting pretty easily That's what the connections are like if I take the fitting off. Can't find anything to fit that, but realised all the LED lights are 501 plug and play! 🤦‍♂️so just waiting to hear back from two sellers about the dimensions of their lights and see if they match up! Nearly there lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Ooooo ok nice one mate thanks [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  4. I apologise for spamming replies [emoji23]but I've found that my car is a GH, so these should fit right? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/232090165174?_mwBanner=1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. Also I don't really know what variant my car comes under. I know the engine type is an EE20, but I don't know if the car type is a GR, GH etc. Anyone know the differences in codes so I can find lines easier? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Thanks, but the link doesn't work? Lol I need to access the wiring and see what the connections are like and compare to the ones on eBay. I've read up that to remove the fittings, you click them to the left and pull out. That sound about right? I'd go check but it's !Removed! it down [emoji23] lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  7. The brakes do feel a bit spongey since getting the car a couple weeks ago, but as I said I'm replacing the brakes all round which would have sorted it but a firmer brake pedal would be nice too! [emoji106] How hard are the lines to replace? I do have a good amount of experience with mechanics but I've never done brake lines before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Lol [emoji23]no worries dude, thanks I'll be ordering them tonight [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Yeah brakes are definitely important! Especially if I'm wanting to remap somewhere down the line, the extra stopping power would be great! I'm looking at hel lines too, between £50-£70 for a set of four. Not swapping calipers unfortunately, keeping OEM calipers (just going to paint them up) and changing disc and pads to brembo, and now possibly hel lines lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Yeah you're not wrong, being able to stop is definitely a priority! I'm not looking to do track days a lot and I'm driving a gen 3 diesel so I do have quite a bit of power but not as much as yourself. I do like to step it up though when I'm on my own and not carting the wife and kid around lol does having steel lines improve the braking power a lot? Or not so much that you'd notice straight away? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Hey guys Changing my pads and discs in the next couple of weeks but uprating them to Brembo instead of the rubbish that's on there now. I'm keeping the calipers original (just painting them instead) but is it worth changing the brake lines to stainless braided ones? I know if your changing calipers then obviously change pad and disc sizes and upgrading the lines is a good idea, but for standard size brakes is it worth doing? I'd have a mix bag of answers so wasn't sure. Any advice appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. A year? Strange. I want some that shape just the colour of the body paint or similar. Do you know a website that does custom Ones? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. I'll do that if I can't find some, but I'd rather the actually moulding changed. I know it looks boyracery but I loved how bright they were! I've seen some which say they fit my generation of Impreza on eBay but when I put the car details in, they aren't a match? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Are they originals? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  16. http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=314_315&osCsid=1mmpvtkclhorld0ph7shledll7 I recently got the Muteki ones in black... they need a key to take each one off so no need for a single locking wheel nut Cool that's very similar to mine then because mine requires a key to take off all of them too. seems like my key goes inside the nuts rather than over like yours? 17. Hey all, Don't know if this is in the right area? But couldn't find anything for exterior mods. I'm looking to get some LED number plate lights like these. I had them on my Civic and loved them! Can't seem to find them for Impreza's though. Does anyone know if they do them or where I can find them? My Impreza is an 09 Diesel GH (I think) picture is below incase I'm wrong. Thanks for any help! [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Hey welcome to the club! Sorry to piggyback your thread but does anyone know what sort of nuts those are on the rims? I've just got a scooby myself last weekend and it has the same nuts but they're horrible and I don't know what to search up. Looking for Impreza wheel nuts comes up with a ton of things I'm not looking for. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Thanks, I can officially call myself a Subaru Member [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Hey guys, I took the plunge right after I went and looked at this car. It was stunning and almost perfect bodywork. Has just a small dent the size of a 5p on the door other than that it's perfect! It's a diesel and my god, the torque! I've not owned something like this so I'm thoroughly impressed! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. Yeah I am in two minds now to be honest. I've told the seller that I don't want his one with the block change now. As much as I want a petrol variant, I'd want to go for a 2.5 turbo and not 2.0 n/a but the tax and insurance would be too high every year to warrant getting one [emoji22] Thanks for the advice [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. 🤦‍♂️goddammit. Anything else they suffer from that's not mentioned here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. Right, called Subaru, it has had a small block change which entails LOWER BLOCK, CRANKSHAFT, CONNECTING RODS, PISTONS, RINGS, MAIN BEARINGS, ROD BEARINGS, CAM BEARINGS. I asked are there any drawbacks to having all this changed and Subaru state that it should all be fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. Yeah I am cautious for that reason especially! It's like a 200 mile trip to see it so it's put me right off. Apparently he used to own a freelander, got bad mpg from it, switched to this, couldn't fit his tools in it and now wants to change back. Thanks dude, I'm still looking so hopefully I find something before JapFest this year [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. Lol [emoji23]yeah I'm sure I'd get about that If I had an n/a 2.0 too! No worries, I appreciate all the viewpoints that people can give me [emoji106] I'm still in two minds about this one with the small block change though. From the pictures it looks really good and the price is cheap because the guy needs a quick sale to buy a work vehicle. But on the other hand is he selling cheap because something's wrong? Need to wait and call Subaru when it opens and hopefully they'll give me more details on what was changed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
