Ok bad luck with the first model (hope the relationship is still in tact) but, exhaust is from which manufacturer and as daft as it seems mud flaps where from ? Also have you any other mods/parts that you have to reccomend. black seems rare for this model.

Hi Chris, Originally a Beverley lad myself. Beverley Grammar was my School, grew up on Cherry Tree lane. Had my 2015 model for 6 months but owned many Subarus in the past and the occasional TVR. Looked at a range of vehicles before this purchase Golf R, Audi s3/4/5 but even though fit and finish were above and beyond Subaru's by a country mile character is there in spades with a Subaru even when they have fallen out of favour with the general public. Equal length headers and twin exit exhausts have softened the noise on these new era STI's which was part of the driver appeal. Ive just fitted a scorpion system that is a good alternative but these cars are still in warranty so mods are limited. Enjoy my friend.

Got standard Dunlop's on. They scrabble and tram line like nothing else i've experienced whilst not hitting maximum boost. I have in the past held a TVR Tuscan at 160 MPH on Toyo Proxies with less concern about traction. Given that these are "Premium Tyres" and with the technology invested in the vehicle i still find that im holding on to the steering wheel under spirited acceleration and hoping it tracks in a straight line. Has it been mapped for more power doubtful. is there a problem with geometry. ? Tyre pressures change on a weekly basis so anyone have this isssue. Great car but dont want another car that i cant trust to get me home. Will play around with DCCD.Thanks for the replies.

1.16 boost up to date. front wheels cant cope. will play a bit more with DCCD.
-
Thanks for the reply is it plus or minus for the switch between rear and front have tried to research but varying opinions leave me unsure. cheers for any response.
-
just fitted scorpion back boxes and now it appears to be more pronounced. Under heavy acceleration the front wheels are scrabbling at the tarmac. have been used to powerfull rear wheel drive cars for a few years. Can the DCCD be used and set to eliminate, if so how do you use this !Removed! thing as after owning 4 subarus over 15 years it is still a mystery and have heard horror stories around fiddling with it. Yes quite possibly i'm doing it wrong, thanks Kershaw lol.
-
How about vicious front wheel torque steer from the front wheels on heavy acceleration even in standard mode. isnt the whole point of permanent wheel drive and torque vectoring to eliminate this. I know i can use DCCD but in auto mode why !

Your STI looks amazing in RED. Not seen this model in red until now. I have one kerbed and one stone chipped alloy in that colour and design on my my 2015 STI. I'm toying with the idea of having a spare set of wheels and tyres ready for when the current ones are ready for replacing or just getting the damage repaired. I'm near Harrogate so would rather them be couriered to my address. what price would you ask to sell and ship to Harrogate. let me know . kind regards.

once again are these still for sale !

Thanks for the replies. I have scoured halfrauds and got a BMW Black Metallic touch up paint that seems to be at first glance as near as i can get to "Hide" the obvious. I have seen on various sites and threads that subaru will not offer paint codes to the general public on these wheels (for obvious dealer trade financials ! ) are these wheels powder coated and need a full wheel done or can a repair be effected with building up layers of paint if the correct paint code is known ?

just had to take evasive action when some herbert towing a trailor didnt allow for it when turning ! 2015 STI nearside rear wheel damage. 3 inches of paint along the rim now missing but cannot believe how thick the paint is now its off the rim. Advice please.

Recently purchased a 2015 WRX STI and joined the club. I have been a Subaru fan for many years but strayed into the dark world of TVR over the past six. Tuscan sold and a practical (ahem) grandchildren chariot was needed. owned in the past a 2000 MY classic in blue, a 2003 wrx blob eye in red, and finally the one i regret losing a 2005 prodrive STI in 2006 with only 6k mileage. back in the fold again.

Tuscan was more reliable than my 5ltr Griffith believe it or not. But i do not have the dread feeling of going to die again at any moment. Widow maker was the tuscan as legend would prove. 2015 wrx sti is less powerfull but can be driven at close to 10/10 th's and would leave a 4.0 ltr speed Tuscan for dead in anything other than a straight line.

Thanks for the interesting different angle approach to my concern, but the on board computeris telling me that another 12,400 miles before the next service is required. I understand that oil is subject to breakdown over time ( Many years with TVR`s as only weekend toys and dorment over winter) but surely even the most basic of systems can tell time and date of service or am i wrong with this subaru system ? My wifes SLK can tell you how many times she has farted in the car !!! ( Hope she doesnt read this), just by plugging the key into a machine. Thanks in advance for any further comments.

Wasnt a subaru main dealer i bought from. car is perfect in every other way. The 1000 mile service has been completed but the car has in my opinion not been used to any great extent since. going to speak to KT Green official Subaru franchise on friday but thought would ask here for opinion. 1700 miles since last service is this a concern over after 12 months ? Thanks for the response Daz should have made it clear that the running in service has been recorded.

Iv'e got a similar problem. just purchased a 2015 wrx sti with only 2700 miles recorded. It is apparently 12,000 miles away from first service but isnt age of oil an equal concern ?

Cant help but think that the rear tints are considerably darker than you might expect. having matched the tints to some degree on bmw x5 with some legal success in the past are there any other owners that have spec and pics for the fronts. regards for ant replies.
