  1. Hi all, Had my 07 Impreza 2.0 n/a a while now, no issues with startup or the immobiliser until this morning... Unlocked the car, jumped in and turned the key and got power/electrics, but wouldn't turn over and fire up at all. First thought i could have left it too long and immobiliser armed again, so pressed the key-fob one more time with it in the ignition, still nothing, then i noticed that when i press the key-fob button the red light on the dash flashes once, but doesn't stay on like it used to for the 30/60 seconds whatever it is to give me opportunity to start the car. i also noticed a buzzing sound while I had the key in the ignition at accessory position. Anybody any idea whats going on? Cheers
  2. Hi all, new to this forum. i purchased a 2004 forester 2.0x all weather today. The drivers window doesn't work/ controls on drivers side don't work for any other windows. Passenger side window is very slow, rear drivers side doesn't work and passengers side rear window is fine.... Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks

The car is currently getting built at scooby clinic after the dreaded ringland failure and while it's a 400bhp build I'm not actually going for the power yet just building the engine for the future. It is a 330s with very basic mods like Perrin inlet and custom exhaust not sure if it has got a sports cat or normal. Just wondering what kind of power to expect as I was expecting to see it pretty much stay at 330 as it was running 329 with a piston down.

Hi, just noticed that my Power and Hold modes appear to be unresponsive. i get the power word light when I go through start up, it disappears as it should, but when I try to activate either power or hold modes once engine is running I get no indication they're active... and it doesn't feel any different under the foot. normal AT driving is faultless. anybody had experience with this please? cheers tom
  5. hi there guys, so i have a 2.0 sport impreza so its na. my latest mod was a hks mushroom induction kit. the nas have an air box which comes off the throttle body. i pulled that airbox off and directly attached the hks mushroom as a reverse fitting so that cold air is fed directly from the bonnet scoop. the air box had three hoses which i disconnected and covered with etape for temp. i feel like the cars hesitating to put power down compared to the standard airbox. is this due to the hoses? what can i do with those hoses? kayzarh said they wer pcv hoses but i havent a clue what to do with them and if thats the reason im losing power? can someone help? i will post pics tomorow morning when we get some daylight cheers!
  6. Im currently returning my 97 Turbo 2000 complately back to stock (bit of a purist), I recieved the stock exhaust backbox the other day and I'm having second thoughts on replacing it. This is my first turbo scooby so I've never noticed any difference exhausts can make. I'm not interested in the noise, just if there will be any noticable power loss. I've attached a picture of the backbox that came with the car, I don't know if it is genuine STI or not, the box itself looks identical to the stock one but the tip is wider and single exit. Will I notice a difference? Cheers
  7. Fitted power steering pump from a 2004 wrx on to my classic as i was told it was more reliable everything was working fine however now it seems to whine with the acceleration so if I'm on full boost all you can here is the power steering whine sound.
  8. Recently purchased a 2015 WRX STI and joined the club. I have been a Subaru fan for many years but strayed into the dark world of TVR over the past six. Tuscan sold and a practical (ahem) grandchildren chariot was needed. owned in the past a 2000 MY classic in blue, a 2003 wrx blob eye in red, and finally the one i regret losing a 2005 prodrive STI in 2006 with only 6k mileage. back in the fold again.
  9. going to be a long one so thanks for reading if you get through it , So I've recently came into some money , 1000 to be exact and of course i want to spent it all on my car At the moment i have a classic 94 which is running 230BHP due to the turbo being turned down since I've had it but I do have a printout from the previous owner for 271BHP I currently have these mods done: 3 inch cone induction kit 3 inch decatted exhuast stainless steal from the turbo back RCM fuel pump front mounted intercooler fuel injectors if someone could recommend what type to go for that would be great The big one is the ecu i was told when i bought the car it had been remapped to 271bhp but is there a way to check i have a mappable ecu as it all looks pretty standard on first looks Finally as i am based down south but live up north i wouldn't mind have an adjustable map so i can have a kind of eco mode for the 6 hour drive home then a fun full power mode for when I'm home is this possible ??? With a remap I'm hoping to be on above 300bhp ? let me know what you think if you managed to get through it all , cheers

Hi, having been stalled by visits to hospital I can now continue in improving my 2004 WRX Wagon, I have come across HKS Silent 3" bore cat back system, quite a bit more expensive than the usual suspects, are they worth the money, I bought a 3" sportscat downpipe for £230. so now want to complete the system. Being an old git I dont want it super noisy, but I dot want it to sound muffled either, I want the best powergain I can get, I have a K&N Typhoon induction kit installed and will go for a stage 2 remap.
