  1. baby decided it wanted to come out 10 days early so there is the slimmest of chances i may make it to this, don't hold it against me if i'm not there will be a last min thing depending on how we all are at home

Yorkshire moors and the dales have some fantastic driving roads beautiful views and nice people as has scotland but the weather is generally rubbish ;-) Up there (joking) I was born in the south west different scenery but just as nice they have the advantage of nicer beaches (grimsby just doesn't cut the mustard) and warmer weather Any other parts of the country i can offend ? Forgot the isle of man, great place very random and an addes bonus of being able to drive the tt course with no speed limits outside the built up areas
  3. I'd be worried about the sills and how far the tin worm has got into the inner sills. Maybe worth taking a look as it could bump the price of a fix even further. Gambit i wish i'd still kept the fail cert for my sunny that ran into 7 pages of the old style mot 90% of them being red in colour :O woild gave been good for a giggle. I'd be inclined to weigh up everything and see what your wallet and heart say
  4. If it was stuck on your windscreen maybe people would scan it in passing, saw some bus stops the other day with one saying 'scan me' I was going to make a sticker version but the sign/graphic company near me said it wasn't really feasible to do just one so if anyone's up for it i'll look into seeing how much a minium run would be. And i thought i had a reasonable sized one sent it to print at work turned out to be 2 sheets of a4 oops back to drawing board
  5. Anyone thought about qr code stickers ? Just a thought i had a go at downloading some qr code building software. Looks fairly straightforward put txt in and generates the code. Maybe generate more site traffic ?
  6. Hahahaha
  7. Some others ? I've seen where you live nothing but sheep /horses/ pigs for miles around. :O
  8. It's only just dawned on me that you are talking about file sharing the user manuals/handbooks. I was begining to think all that oil you use for keeping your leather 'nightware' soft was making your head go funny with the fumes :-)
  9. Ah no worries i was only pulling your leg. I stumbled across the answer when i was looking for something else, full of useless information me haha !
  10. Tuts gambit i was expcting you to have come up with an answer by now ;-) If you have an owners manual (i don't) it would tell you. For anyone who's interested see pic
  11. Do you have the band adaptor connected to the back of the head unit ? I may be wrong but when i put new radio in the eunos i had to attach a mw/lw band adaptor to pick up uk fm freq as the japanese don't pump out as much wattage when it comes to radio reception I may be talking absloute b******s as it was 4 yeas ago when i changed it
  12. What's the little cut out bit on the dip stick for ? I assumed the high and low marks were the little holes next to where it says H L ?
  13. Hi mate hopefully the misses will have given birth a couple days before hand so i won't be able to make this one being so soon after

Your uses sound a bit suspect to me, what with the leather chaps living in the sticks. Sure your not out to catch doggers ? ;-) Seriously there look like some good ones out there but cost a fair wack. From what i've read As long as the definition can pick up number plates clearly that's about all you need to go as high as. Least it can be used in prosecution. I've just downloaded an app which looks ok i'll give it a trial run over the next week or so. Least that way i can mount in car/van without any hassle. Could always go for a gopro camera but the are quite a bit and i wouldn't want to leave it attached all the time in my car

Does anyone use them, have any reconmendations ? Seriously thinking of getting on for my van due to the amount of totally amazing drivers and their skills out there. Had a lady miss me by inches the other day after not seeing my massive van and coming across my front to go straight on from a right turn lane. At least if the worst happens i have some solid evidence to preasent to insurers/the law etc
  16. Ah ok i don't even have a youtube account. Besides i've just looked at the vid i took and it's rubbish as i've held th camera too close and all it sounds like is it clattering to death not a propper representation of the sound. Thanks to everyone on here and the advice i'm sure i'm just worring over nothing :O
  17. To be fair there prob is a spanner in mine somewhere along with the crows foot haha. That's loud mine doesn't sound half as bad as that when it's cranked and once warm sounds ok, i would have posted vid but no idea how to lol
  18. Back on topic Haha. As for oil i don't know without giving the garage who serviced it a bell. I was gonna do soon as will need a drop in at some point. I presume it's 5/30 Thanks for clearing the definitions up i would have been trying to search for knock and slap and going round and round for ever. So what we're saying if it sounds a bit tinny on start up then goes away/quiet it's not so bad, full on chatter all the time i'll be looking at a bottom end re build sooner rather than later. As for start up and warming up/down it's always started with clutch depressed then idle for at least 5 mins maybe more untill the rpm drops to 750ish. And 30 sec to a min cool down even when pottering around off boost more if i've been leathering it
  19. Haha i'm not ashamed at all. I'm a big softie at heart anyway. Can't wait for my daughter to come and join us in the world :-)
  20. I'm going for the winter tyre angle ;-)
  21. Haha i'll prob be booing me eyes out, still at least with the section i won't have to worry about what he bottom half looks like during the birth :-( Cheers mate will pm you later. Got my eyes on a set of speedlines at the mo on the bay so i'm treading carefully so i don't rub her up the wrong way ( they are dirt cheap i just have my reservations on 'some kerbing damage' ) don't think hi love i'm just off to london to buy some non essential wheels would go down too well a week before the birth :-)
  22. Yeah mate, had a nice trip to hospital at half one this morning got in just after 5 due to bad tummy pains all ok though. Booked in for the 3rd c section due to breach and other things so it's all go. Still manage to get half of ikea in the back of the car last week :O
  23. Yeah i'm just pooping myself for the worst. Hasn't used any oil at all since the service : ) so i'm just being paranoid
  24. stants replied to garry's topic in General Subaru Chat
Could always try a local vehicle sign writer if you decide not to tackle it yourself
  25. Cheers, I've googled it and it sounds like slap as opposed to knock. It's always gone away/been alot quieter after 5 mins. Did a 150 mile round trip yesterday and drove perfectly. Now the temp outside is starting to drop it's just taking longer to go away
