  1. This isn't an incredibly active forum and by its nature, most people who want a Subaru on here probably already have one! Your car is competitively priced compared to similar ones on the sites I mentioned so I'd just get it advertised and you should shift it. Nice car BTW.
  2. I think it's priced reasonably well, at least considering what people are asking for much older blobs and hawks. Do you have it advertised on Autotrader or Pistonheads? I had a quick look and couldn't see it. If this is the only place it's advertised it's not surprising that you haven't had any interest.
  3. It's a WRX SL I believe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. A lot of the Spec D are registered as normal STI. Seems pretty random. Odd to put a black one as a Spec D though! Wonder if anyone at Subaru UK could help you? Maybe you have a one off rarity!
  5. Damn. Too late. Forged pistons. Ah well, might as well take the nav out now.
  6. One day I'll be the only spec d owner with the original sat nav and the car will therefore be worth millions. In my dreams!
  7. Yup. Anyone with any sense (ie not me) removes them. I have the spec d brochure and it's listed as standard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Actually, just realised, this is how you can tell if it's a spec D. The lousy spec d sat nav has a button on the steering column (if you want to go somewhere, you press the button and it puts you through to a call centre who will send the nav unit directions!!!). You can just see it in the pic.
  9. Standard in Spec D! Tbh I wish they'd spent the money on the frikking pistons and head gasket.
  10. And don't forget the world's worst factory fit sat nav!
  11. Nope, no sun roof. I think that was the WRX SL. "Sunroof and leather". They're good at this naming thing are subaru! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Looks nice, whatever it is! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. None of them have had head gasket failure, piston failure, bottom ends going etc. So no, sadly very much in this universe.
  14. Tell me about it. Bad times when mates with Renaults have the upper hand with reliability!
  15. 2500 miles since the rebuild now. The big test was a trackday last Sunday, which it survived! Got to say Martin has been spot on with it all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Spec D were all silver / grey. Maybe someone with a black STI decided they were after a more subtle look? It's only cosmetic stuff so would be easy enough to switch interior, remove badges and replace spoiler. Pop some pics of it up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I'd first read that on here and was going to ignore it until the garage that were doing my head gasket said pretty much the same thing. Might as well put forged pistons in at the same time.
  18. Ah yeah, start of the Strines. Great bit of road! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I always used to really disliked the bug eye, but I keep seeing them around and they're growing on me a lot. This one does look good. What's the thing on the wing near the headlight? Looks like a blanking plate? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Looks familiar. I'm about 10 mins drive from the snake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. If you can stretch to an RA-R, there is one here in white... https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/impreza-sti/subaru-impreza-ra-r/7052186 My issue with the £22k UK one that I linked to is that it's not had its engine forged. If I had my time again, I wouldn't have considered buying any 2.5 that didn't have a forged engine and uprated gaskets. Imagine splashing the cash on that and then having to find another £3k to get the engine put right!
  22. 8 services in 9k miles I could live with, but that price seems crazy regardless. Having said that, I always keep an eye on that seller as they have some nice cars come through and they always price very high...and they seem to shift their stock. Definitely worth a haggle....you don't ask, you don't get!
  23. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222251064739 That's been up for a while now. Low miles but certainly not cheap!
  24. I had a few other head gasket failure symptoms such as bubbles occasionally appearing in the coolant expansion tank and small but regular drops in the coolant level. Never saw any noticeable coolant in oil symptoms though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
