  1. Yes unfortunately had to let go, did not get much for it in the end.
  2. Price lowered and relisted. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253842247462
  3. Up on ebay, starting at £5,500 Selling my black low milage (49,700) Subaru Impreza WRX 2009. This car has been my daily and never let me down, the AWD has proven it's worth in the snow had at the start of the year. I'm selling it as my partner is learning to drive and so a easier to drive car is required. The car is in a good condition for it's age although does have some marks on the bodywork from stones/bird poo, etc. I've been very careful with the car and in the last 16 months it's had a new cambelt, clutch, flywheel and a full set of tyres. The cambelt and tyres were done as general maintenance not due to failure (cambelt was coming up to it's age limit, tyres were done because previous owner had mismatched them which affects the AWD systems balance). It should be noted that the clutch/flywheel is a stage 2. This means that the clutch can take more power if you want to go that way (the OEM struggled even with the standard power) however it is a bit stiffer than normal (although I still use it daily, it does take some getting used to). The flywheel is also lightened so the car revs much quicker but it is easier to stall the car. To Arrange to View the Car Phone or text me on 07904942823. Features Some of the features worth mentioning: Cruise control, powered windows all round, ISOFIX and aux cable for a phone. Recent Work All technical work done on the car has been by Subaru specialists ScoobyWorld. MOT Passed, no advisories (by KwikFit in May 2018 at 49,050 miles) Stage 2 Clutch/Flywheel (by ScoobyWorld in March 2018 at 48,672 miles) Full set of tyres and balance (by KwikFit in Oct 2017 at 46,549 miles) Cambelt (by ScoobyWorld in May 2017 at 42,448 miles) Service History Service history is complete going on miles, however there is a gap in terms of time (it wasn't done yearly). 42,293 miles by Motor City Birmingham Ltd (no stamp but copy of receipt/invoice) 27,784 miles by Subaru Inverness 20,573 miles by Subaru Inverness 12,647 miles by Subaru Inverness 6,791 miles by Subaru Inverness
  4. Have you checked it's got a current MOT/TAX? Might give you an idea of if it's still about there's also a field that's supposed to tell you the location of it's last test but that looks like it's been disabled. https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/
  5. Thanks, went with the standard bushes in the end (less than £10 each).
  6. Managed to fail the MOT due to the D bushes on the front antiroll bar being worn. From looking around it looks like Poly bushes might be a good shout but I can't seem to find any information on if you should do the front/rear at the same time or if you can do just the front? Also don't suppose anyone knows the OEM front rollbar size for a 2009 WRX Hatch?
  7. CC Stage 2 with their flywheel (this one), the clutch I've found to be fine as I put up with a bad clutch for about 12 months before so it's no heavier but I wouldn't recommend the flywheel as it makes significant noise under engine breaking (I believe/hope this is normal) that may make the car difficult to sell in the future.
  8. Cars back on the road with a new stage 2 clutch and flywheel (will take some getting used to). Noticed a rust patch on the boot just above the badge so will need to get that looked at soon I think.
  9. No worries, I've got a few things I need to get sorted/checked next week with the car anyway before I start spending money on it so no hurry.
  10. I'm also looking for a drivers side carpet (not sure if it comes out individually doubt it), essentially I have a rip to the right of the accelerator on the wheel well.
  11. Flebay has them for £25 so I'll try my luck unless you can lower the price significantly (I'm not expecting you to, I imagine they weren't a flebay job). Stereo I'm still interested in, I'm looking to see how it sits in the surround (no gaps) and where the steering wheel controls fit. I assume your throw in any harness converters needed to get this to work on a hatch.
  12. No sensible offers for my Scooby, so managed to convince the missus that she'll be fine to drive it once she's passed her test (I get to keep it). So spent today pricing up getting the work done (clutch/flywheel) and looking at maybe doing some other work (quad pipes and repairing the beginning of some rust bubbles just above the rear badge). Thinking of going Exedy Pink Box Stage 1 clutch and Exedy lightweight flywheel and getting it booked in at Scooby World, would be interested if anyone has any experience (with both the products and the workshop).
  13. Are the window deflectors up for grabs? Also can you provide some pictures of the stereo setup.
  14. Price lowered to 5,500 if gone by Saturday afternoon. Interested drop me a text on 07904942823.
  15. Will be willing to take £6k if it goes in the next 7 days.
  16. Subaru Impreza WRX hatchback. A low 48,500 miles, the last 6,000 of which have been mainly motorway miles including a trip to Slough in the recent snow where this car shined. A recent service and cambelt change done in the last 12 months, and a full set of new tyres less than three months ago. Available on eBay but open to offers. Main Points Cambelt changed at 42,500 (didn't need doing, just to keep it inline with servicing recommendations) Full set of new tyres at 46,500 Some service history, last done at 42,293 (no stamp but receipts) MOT until May 2018 Unmodified apart from a new aerial and an auxiliary cable for the radio (so you can play music from your phone) You Should Know Although this car is still my daily driver, the clutch is on its way out and I would expect it to need doing in the very near future. The local Subaru specialists (ScoobyWorld) can supply and fit a stage 1 for around £600 (this is reflected in the pricing). There is also wear to the drivers side door handle as pictured.
  17. @Matt91uk arghh drove to the office yesterday (200mi round trip) and started noticing what might be sticking? under what circumstances did yours stick?
  18. Swapped out the wheel nuts for ones gifted by @stants (many thanks). before, after (not pictured car wash). Need to get a set of security bolts now to finish the job and probably going to end up painting those calipers. Also been offered a custom plate for cost of transfer "W##ARP" so will be putting that on soon I think.
  19. The local Subaru Specialist actually was ScoobyWorld they didn't seem to concerned (the guy drove it from Leicester and back, so I imagine would of said something) and I've got somewhat used to it now having done a few trips to the South West but good to know I can have something done if it become too much of a pita.
  20. Took off the side skirts and refitted as they weren't on properly (before, after)
  21. Are those OEM wheel nuts up for grabs? Could do with a set as my current ones are rusted pretty good.
  22. Just bought my first Subaru and found this forum whilst doing research for stuff that was either niggling me or I needed to know how to do it. It's a low mileage 09 wrx hatch pretty much all stock and appears to have been owned by a doctor for most of it's life. Will probably do some light modding for now focusing on tidying it up and making it a more comfortable daily (I drive a lot for work). Since picking it up on Thursday I've installed a new aerial, dust caps and map light bulbs (went for leds) as they were missing/dead. On my to do list for the near future is running some audio/phone cables for aux/charging under the trim, fitting some usb ports, sorting out the side skirt (bit lose at the back) and getting some new wheel nuts as the current ones are rusted.
  23. Looks really nice, if it's not too rude to ask how much did it set you back and where did you get it done?
  24. Brill many thanks for the replies I doubt it's got a modified clutch the car is stock all over. The colour of the fluid is dark yellow/brown. Your right I insisted on a major service before I bought it and they've missed off brake fluid all together from the invoice all though the level is fine. I've arrange for a local subaru specialist to pick it up on Thursday to do the cambelt, so hopefully they will have an idea.
  25. So I just bought a new (to me) 2009 WRX Hatchback. Very happy with it apart from one niggling thing the clutch seems to go from engaged to disengaged within about 1 inch from the floor (and requires a hell of a lot of pressure to engage) with the rest of the travel having no pressure against my foot. I mentioned it to the dealer and they insisted this was normal and I got them to write that in an email (along with the clutch being covered under their warranty). I've driven similar cars in the past and I know they often have heavy clutches but does this sound at all normal from a Subaru? and if not any ideas of what it could be?
