Hi all,

I have a NA 2.0 legacy and am have great problems with the lag below 3200 revs. as soon as it hits this the car is off like shot.

I've been having a look round the forums but can only find things like an ECU issue and it need a new file.

Has anyone had this issue with their cars?

Thanks

Mark

Hi mark. I have a 2006 legacy NA 2.0R.

I had a similar issue with mine a while back. I had martin from sheffield subaru service take it for an update, i think he had another company do a "pack" file update and that completely solved the issue.

I'd have thought so certainly need to be able to program the ECU. And if you're like me and don't have a clue about mapping I'd leave it for the professionals. But if you have a laptop and relevant software with a USB cable that connects up you can do it from home. I know a Lawyer in his retirement does it from home for people for £150 a remap. I wouldn't use him though not with my car I'd rather have someone that does it for a living.

My car is the same. I was told recently by local subaru specialist that there is an upgrade pack which can be done by the main dealers. He said it shouldn't cost much as it's the equivalent of a recall. It only applies to specific cars though???

Does anyone know about this???

Did anyone find out or know any more about this??

Mine is a 2008 2.0i auto and seems to spin fine but I would like somemore go and local tuners who do a lot on Scoobies say they should be able to take mine from the UK 163 hp up to the original 195? it had in Japan. Anyone done that and know what difference it made.

The company I have used before to tune my Saab and my VW T5 camper are www,sntuning.com brilliant guys and waiting on them for exhaust price.

Martin from Sheffield Subaru Service fixed this for me. I think he called it a "pack file update". Although I could be completely wrong lol.

This^^ + throttle body/maf/map sensor cleaned, if it still does it after this then it is the air fuel sensor  starting to go faulty
