Would like some advice please on how to update the Sat Nav to the latest maps etc on  a 2005 Forester?.

Mine won't accept Post Codes.

Has anyone updated the software and if so, how please?.

Thanks

You'll need to get an updated disc from 'somewhere' either legit which costs a bit or I've been told that there are versions on ebay or dowloadable patches from torrent sites, how well these work is an unknown I'm afraid. Could always call up your local dealer and see what The asking price is

We've had a few on here that have used.. let's say aftermarket operations and have not worked or the voice part stops working. I can't remember how much it cost the last members for an upgrade disc I'm sure it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Thanks for the replies.

Found one for sale on the bay of E which is for Land Rovers but allegedly works on Subarus and some other vehicles using the Kenwood 3200 sat nav.

Not sure whether to take a chance for £27 or to price one up at the main dealers.

It might be that it's not set to uk. That's why it won't accept postcodes? Should be fine if set to uk... Mine did same
