SteveM Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 does a 2004 sti impreza have a built in transponder to the key? im asking as im hoping nit so i can get new locks and keys. the current locks are difficult to open with the single key i currently have. otherwise i would just get a more cut thanking you
stants Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Yours shouldn't as it's an import think it only does the central locking and not much else you can buy blanks from ipc which are transponder less
SteveM Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Perfect!!!!! Thank you very much! Drive fast, Race faster
stants Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I've the same style of key as yours plus a steel 2nd key which doesn't have anything to it, I've never tried to start the car with the spare, if you want, I'll try it tonight with the spare
SteveM Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 If you wouldn't mind helping to prove a point that would be ace. Just had the Stirling immobiliser removed today and a shiny new Clifford being installed :-) Drive fast, Race faster
