charswrx
Hey, I've only had my subaru a few months and I need to change the front and rear brake discs/ pads. I just want to know what brands you guys would recommend. I am on a budget but don't mind paying if they're worth it! The scoob is a 04 blob eye wrx 2l turbo. Any recommendations would be great! Thanks!
tom_gr7
I have Pagid discs and pads, I find them to be pretty good. No complaints, not much brake dust. - Although, i do have braided hoses on, :) I'd certainly buy pagid again though.
stants
Lack diamond pads and discs are supposed to be good
Ash007ks
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-WRX-Classic-MTEC-Performance-Brake-Discs-Front-Rear-Pads-/300325448543What i run on mine and they are more than good enough for 360 bhp :) obviously you would need the right ones for your car.
Jay762
I have used Black Diamond before and found them to be a good replacement over OEM discs, given the age of your car I think the braided hoses option and a bleed through with 5.1 fluid will really complement the replacement discs and pads whatever you decide
charswrx
Thanks, I'm definatly looking to get braided hoses for it so I shall do a bleed as well! I may get the black diamond discs as they're not badly priced :) thanks for the help!

Ash007ks
For the money i still rate my Mtec brakes as they are oversized, demontweeks or scooby worx will have some as well
charswrx
For the money i still rate my Mtec brakes as they are oversized, demontweeks or scooby worx will have some as well I've looked at mtech as they are cheaper than black diamond, are your mtech brakes pretty good? What brand pads do you use with them? I reckon I will go for mtech or black diamond with the braided hoses. If mtech are pretty good then I'll give them a go
tom_gr7
I heard that Mtec discs were just standard discs, that are are drilled and/or grooved by mtec themselves.
Ash007ks
Cant be tom as they are alot larger than the standard disc's, they stop me very good and have yet to see them fade, ferrodo pads come with them as well which are a good make.
