classic steve
Hi. Ive just started to change my plugs on my jdm sti. Ive bought some heat 7 plugs but the ones ive taken out are heat 8. What difference will it make if i put the heat 7 in? Thanks all. Steve.
savage bulldogs
I think most of us run heat 7's anyways steve
Gambit
As Savage said 7 should be fine. wouldn't bother with Platinum I'd go iridium. Platinum from research doesn't conduct that much better than copper and doesn't last as long it's just a more expensive metal than copper, thats all and increases the price. iridium does it all a bit better longer life and better spark. :)
Steveuk260.Esq
Heat 7 are for stock and lightly modified engines. Heat 8 are for medium to heavily modified engines.
classic steve
Ive got new iridium 7 plugs to fit. Did my research of what plugs i needed so was quite suprised to see iridium 8 plugs. Will crack on with them tomoz.
classic steve
The cars a sti with induction kit. Recent rebuild but no major power mods. Will 7 plugs cause any issues as it runs perfect with 8 plugs currently?
Gambit
No it will be fine mate As steve said if you was carrying 400bhp I'd say be worth upgrading the plugs but I was running 350 and still used 7's :) And good luck with the change over. Make sure you have someone to make cups of tea or coffee you will need it :D

Gambit
I've actually paid my mate once to do them just because I really couldn't be bothered with the stress but if it's a nice day and no rush to do them its not all bad. No I'll take that back it is still bad but you have longer time to take deeper breaths [emoji1]
