CJRODELL
hi all for insurance reasons i have to down grade from my wrx wagon to a na impreza is it hard to swap the na motor for a wrx lump??
stants
Yes although from an engineering point of view not really but from time cost and parts it isn't worth it. Although I've just seen your post topic and the actual content, so are you buying an n/a car with a view to putting the wrx lump in later or are you dropping the n/a lump into the wrx ?
mfnick
Like Stants has said, it's not really difficult but the time and cost is substantial. Surely the insurance will cost just as much having a sport with a WRX engine as it will to just have a WRX Impreza. Maybe even more since its a "mod".
aucky
am guessing he not planning on telling the insurance, he said he's down grading to n/a for insurance reasons.

Gambit
As said above can be done but a lot of work and not cheap, but that will all depend on how much you can physically do yourself. But if you do don't forget to start a project thread up on how you're getting on ;)
