dogma1 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 hi all did not know where to put this one as it is a question about a part that fits impreza and forester, but I also think it fits legacy. I am looking to change my sub frame bush to a POWERFLEX REAR BEAM MOUNT Ref: PFR69-118. First, has anyone on here done this. Second, does the noise from the sub frame increase a lot and how the hell did you get the bush out of your sub frame. Third, there are others on the market and I am looking for a easy fix. these come in two parts and look fairly easy to put in but are they or is it easier to put a solid one in. any help much appreciated thanks james.

Just to carry on, anyone heard of lock down kit seem to be big in Oz and whiteline do them.
Gambit Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 She was using a tripod mounted camera but I thought it was because she had to much to drink And nope sorry I've never heard of it.
dogma1 Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 well I did it with the powerflex. what a **** to get the bush out ended burning them out. the others went in easy and will be a easy fix next time. 2
Gambit Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Well glad to hear you sorted it. And on the Brightside at least you know if it need's doing again you can do the job easy enough :)
Scooby Pete Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Bit late, still it's handy for the future. Best way to get bushes out is to use a long bolt with a washer a nut and a socket. Put the bolt through the bush and then the square hole in the socket, the socket needs to be big enough to line up with the metal housing you are removing the bush from, add washers and nut, the washers need to be just smaller than the metal housing but bigger than the centre of the bush. Now do the nut up at the socket end and the bush will pull its self through the mount and into the socket. Should come out easily using this method. 2
Gambit Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Handy tip thanks for sharing even if it's not going to help dogma1 now, but handy all the same :)
