I am new to this forum and i have recently bought my first Scooby. I was looking at the intake pipes and saw that half way through is a big box thing. I was wondering if it has any use and if i could remove it?? It has no other pipes or anything coming off it anywhere. Ive got a Impreza 2002 2.0 GX if thats any other help.

Could always stick a sock over the end, looks like a lot of gx owners remove the snorkel
