Hi guys, my bugeye steering has gone notchy when turning the steering wheel when the car is standing still but is ok when driving.is the power steering on its way out, does it have a pump on it?.the fluid is a max cold position when cold and I can't see any leaks [emoji53]

Check your Aux belt, when that starts to get slack is causes this problem. Cheapest place to start :)

Cheers mate, just had a look and the belt is split straight down the middle, guess thats the problem [emoji53]

Was about to say check the belt but pretty sure that's it :D

Also check the steering rack universal joint by the brake servo nr the turbo ,as the heat drys it up making your steering stiff and notchy

Happened to both my cars and easily sorted with a spray of wd40

Was defo the belt [emoji53] all good again now.
