4 cylinder manual world record

Dunno if this has been posted before or not, late last year mikee managed to set a new world record for a 4 cylinder manual transmission 1/4 mile.

 

8.83 at 160mph :o

Turbo's been changed since that vid and its now up to about 730bhp and turbo isn't maxed yet :o

His fastest run was 9.2 at 152mph but only ran for half a day cos the gearbox cried enough, given the surface differences looks promising to beat old record though.

haha yeah, apparently power isnt the issue now, well too little power isn't. Gearbox is, can't take the power so no point in adding more, upping it to 6 speed would add 40kg which isnt ideal.

 

Replacement parts for the 5 speed on the way so have to see how they cope

I can't complain too much the old gearbox did well really I'd given it some stick over the years :D
