Sandals Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 As the title suggests, after an angled exit backbox as I prefer the look of them compared to straight exit. Don't really have any preference to what make... let me know what you have and how much you want for it!
Gaulson Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I know afterburner do angled exit, they are the only ones I've found. I prefer the look myself as well but seeing as I not long got a new box I'm going to wait.
quit Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Mines slightly tilted It's a japspeed one My mate just made his hks one sit sideways
Sandals Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Mine is a japspeed as well but it is a straight exit... mine just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one
classic mica Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Mine is a japspeed as well but it is a straight exit... mine just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one Thinking of getting a Japspeed backbox for my classic 2000, is there much sound difference compared to standard? May order from 2fast2cool, around £105 which isn't bad as brand new, just not sure on how much difference it'd make, just wanting more sound in the lower gears really.
Sandals Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 I'm selling my old Japspeed exhaust, sounds nice, deep and burbly... it is a straight exit tho and the third hanger would be the wrong way around but have heard that people just don't use the third hanger and everything is fine.
classic mica Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 That info has broadenend my search somewhat, so newage exhaust do fit the classics. Have seen some ads on eBay etc bug eye scoobys saying they fit etc. This would make it easier if I end up getting second hand one. I am considering getting exhaust backbox and a dumpvalve from 2fast2cool, look quite reasonable and heard good things about em mostly. Just need more sound than the standard exhaust really and a dumpvalve I'm hoping would go nicely.
Sandals Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 Yup, I bought my exhaust from a guy who had it on his classic... So I was anticipating not having to use the third hanger, back box arrived and the hangers were in the newage position. So he had it on his classic without any problems it would seem!
classic mica Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Cheers for that info, if I took it would mean 3rd car. Would you say they're quite loud. I'm not wanting really really loud, but at least double my standard burble.
Sandals Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 It's not really loud... I had it along with a non-resonated centre section and it was noticeable but not ridiculous
classic mica Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Thanks for the info. I won a HKS super dragger on eBay yesterday.
welchy34 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 That's mine on a UK 2000. Bought it of eBay for £189. Full 3" stainless from the turbo back. Plus inc the de cat up pipe. Not fitted that yet tho. [emoji108] Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
classic mica Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 That looks good, hope mine is as clean as that when it arrives or may have to get brasso on the job.
Sandals Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 Yeh that does look really nice... mine sticks out a little further!
