I will be purchasing a classic Subaru Impreza in the next couple of weeks. Just wondering if anyone has any tips? I'm buying an older one due to insurance. Classic insurance only £200 a year fully comp :)

Just the usual checks you'd do on any car prior to buying really plus a few more regarding knocking from the bottom end and looking for wear on the turbo, etc

For a classic, check rear arches for rust. Power steering pumps tend to be a common problem. Clutch check, put it in 3rd low revs and put your foot down to check for slip.
