Basically i bought new speakers for the front and the back doorsand ive reduced as much as i can and as it happens i can't get the speakers to fit without having to chop the door cards..

Anyone had this problem or know speakers that fit well without any adjustment, cheers.

No not had that issue mate sorry I had to make mdf donut to fit mine too what size did you get ? 

Got some 'edge' coax in the front of mine had to go smaller than what would fit to avoid cutting anything, they were only 25 quid and sound alright

I got a set of fli ones for the front and back that were meant to be direct fit.

Got impatient and ended up taking a grinder to the bottom of the door card, it isnt visible though which is alright.

Any idea on what the front size is supposed to be? may get around to upgrading the fronts, but wouldn't want to cut anything. Did you check what the standard ones were (size?).

I had vibe 6.5 in front but we're too deep do swapped for the edge 5.5 as shallower, then some vibe 4.5's in rear along with the underseat sub didn't bother with the tweeters in door

Yeah anyone know if tweeters actually do much to the sound quality? Have never put them in anything ive had before

I have fli in the front and swapped the tweeters too. Meant to be for the low sound I was told so should improve it. I put 6.5 in too but as I said before had to make rings so the don't stop the windows from going down.

You need component speakers for the tweeters to make any difference, so mid and low range in the bottom of door and high frequency in top

Knew it was one or the other lol. Mine was a set about 35 quid.

I've got the sodding things in the rear too so couldn't be arsed the sub makes up for the tinniness from not having proper components in the doors
