I've been a vw fan and owner for many years and 2 things that made me get a subaru were

1. All the boy racers from maccy d's car parks in corsas and saxos have progressed to the mk4 gti turbo, cheap to insure and turbo power, this means the vag forums have really gone to ****

2. Boy racers usually have 0 no claims and are younger than 25 so they can't afford to insure the subaru
