Hi,

I am not sure if this problem is unique to me.  I have a 61 plate diesel forester manual XSn.   About every two months I have to replace the clutch pedal rubber, that wears away in the top left hand corner (see attached photo).  I try to keep my left foot as far to the right as possible, when depressing the clutch, but I sometimes catch the brake pedal, which does not please my passengers.  I wrote to Subaru UK and they kindly sent me a whole bag of pedal rubbers, which I have now almost used up.  The car has done 50K miles.  I have never had this problem with any other car and I wonder if anybody else has encountered it.

not at that speed, many tend last close to 100k miles !

I would suggest using an after market alloy treaded pedal cover rather than the rubber . perfectly fine for mot too .

That's amazing. No problem on my Impreza.

Did they do metal pedal covers (like in the newage wrx's) for the fozzies? If so that may also be a permanent solution (if the look is your cup of tea of course!)
