bear101 Posted January 10, 2016 Share Posted January 10, 2016 Hi , I just bought a 2006 3.0rn .It had stearing wheel shake when I braked hard so I replaced the front discs and pads today , can anybody tell me how to remove the bottom slider pin as I think it had seized which is why the discs are warping too quickly . I tried giving it a tug with some molegrips but it didn't move . I don't want to give it too much force and end up breaking the pin . bear101 Posted January 12, 2016 Author Share Posted January 12, 2016 Removed the carriers today and took them to my local garage , bit of heat applied and the slide pin came out fine . I use one of the other pins to push the old one out with a few heavy taps, it did bend one though and much swearing later I got it out.
