Ian123 Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Was like I was in 5th not 3rd Nothing on ecu ether been scanned today
stants Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Could be cam sensor or crank sensor, but these would throw up a cel at least,
martyc Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Start with the basics, fuel, spark and air. Make sure there's enough fuel in the car (sounds stupid I know). Check that you have a charge in the Battery, and pressure at the fuel rail and work from there really. Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk 1
Ian123 Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 Ok I'll have a look Tomorrow.... What best way to test spark etc and is there a way for testing to see if timing is correct??
stants Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I'd start with putting the back seats down and turning the key to the acc switch, that way you'll be able to hear the pump prime, (or not ) As for spark there are various diy testing methods on YouTube,
Ian123 Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 Ive removed the pipe leaving the fuel filter n put the pipe into a bottle n cranked the engine to see if I had fuel.. I do have fuel lots of it but still no running scooby
Ian123 Posted April 25, 2016 Author Posted April 25, 2016 Thort I'd update this post.... Car had slipped on timing bending valves so I rebult engine using replacement heads etc and all new bolts n belts now back up n running 1
