However type of oil used will make a huge factor. You don't run an engine in on anything synthetic. Mineral oil only... Heavy loading of the engine (WOT), not stupid revs and let the engine come back down the rev range (plenty of vacume). I'd personally ask for proof of rebuild and ask if the block has been overbored. You'll never get rings sealing without a hone and I'd not want just a hone on these engines. Piston to wall tolerances need to be correct or you'll get a slap on.
