Can anyone help me with how to remove a roof molding?   I've got a 1998 (Classic) Impreza saloon and I need to remove the rear window to sort out some rust.    I know I need to remove the roof molding but I can't work out how to do it - I'm not sure how to undo the clips.  Any tips?    Also any other tips on how to get the window out would be most welcome:  I think the window is stuck in and I am planning to use cheese wire to cut the sealant.  Does this sound sensible?

Do you mean external molding or internal ?

As for the glass i'd pay an auto window fitter to remove & re install it for you they are a ball ache to remove last thing you want is to damage the glass

Hi stants.  It is the external molding that runs from front to back.

Ah ok you mean the one with rubbery strip, think you have to take the roof lining off to do a proper job
