Guess how I spent my afternoon....

If you lose power to the Kenwood FXDD07EF2 unit all of the stored navigation information is lost - next time power comes on it says insert MAP DVD with no other on screen options.

To eject your update DVD to allow installation of the original NAV DVD first press the eject / tilt button then whilst the screen is in full tilt position press and hold the top right corner of the touch screen for 5 seconds or so - this will then eject the update DVD and allow the installation of the earlier version from Subaru.
