Davie d Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Hi, I've recently changed the up pipe on my04 wrx for a decat pipe removing the sensor. I've now noticed that the header box starts to bubble over.
Sandals Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 What do you mean by header box? Also welcome to the club!
martyc Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Lid not on properly, not sealing or prv not working would be my guess! Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Davie d Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Never touched it when working on car but have checked it since, looks ok. Would it have anything to do with the removal of sensor on up pipe?
savage bulldogs Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 How's the general engine temp ? If the decat upipe hasn't been mapped in it might be running a bit lean and therfore hotter If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
martyc Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Shouldn't do really, it's a sealed system, so should hold the pressure to a set rating and then the prv will open to release excess pressure. Is it definitely the cap and not from one of the hoses to it? Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Davie d Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Temp is as normal. The up pipe is new and resistor fitted to bypass sensor, and warning light reset.
