Dump Valve issues

hi all,

just had a general health check from allen jeffery plymouth I'm sure most of you have heard of him did a full check over and also got rid of the litter and small remap but also noticed that i had a one way valve which was removed and was able to get full boost from this....however, the blitz dump valve does not seem to be loud or is it meant to be non existent noise?

compared to my mates Skoda octavia VRS i can hear it all the time

is there anyone around plymouth who can have a look with me or some advice on here would be great.

Thanks in advance.

as far as i can tell it is spot on i haven't term cough driven it hard yet but seems a lot more responsive it went for a full health check and seemed to be completely honest, friendly and clear they even did a fluid top of swell.

thanks for the reply im planning quite a few mods that will include and require a remap and im just weighing up my options at the moment

i hope you manage to resolve the issue with your dump valve i dont suppose its an adjustable one between atmospheric and recirculate? ive heard mappers have been known to turn it to recirculate whilst mapping to save their ears abit this will have a big impact on the noise it makes

ohh what do you have planned? no worries the small drive i did home it pulled and access a lot quicker than before, and there no adjust on the dump valve a pipe form the intercooler to the valve and then a pipe going out with no adjust.

im planning on a 3" turbo back decat exhaust (which my neighbors will love) im looking at getting sti injectors and an upgraded fuel pump and to top it all off a bigger turbo but hopefully one i can use with the top mount intercooler as i dont want to chop parts of my car off to fit a front mount but ill have to wait and see what turbo i end up choosing :)

have you looked to see if there are any adjustments on the valve itself i have a GFB dump valve on mine and its just a case of twisting the body of the valve to alter the adjustment

ohhh awesome!! will be a beast when you have done that!!!

yeah i have checked for any adjusters and there is nothing quite disappointed by blitz i always thought they were meant to be loud and a good BOV.

yeah i'm hoping so my biggest worry i end up blowing my gear box as they're only good for around 350bhp but i get close to that ill be a happy man :)

i'm not sure what else to suggest then mate i did look at the blitz BOV before choosing my GFB one as blitz is tried and tested i hope you find a solution you could always give Allen Jefferies a call and see if he has any ideas as to what might have caused it

yeah true but tbh mine is over 300 and is awesome, don't want anymore at the moment....350 possible one day, Allen Jeffreys said it wasn't working due to a one way valve fitted which they removed but i still can't hear that lovely big dump of air. :-(
