me again - beginning to think I have a non standard outback as nothing seems to fit as it should ....

bought genuine Subaru dog guard for this year of car from eBay

according to seller instructions the top brackets fit in to pre existing slots in the roof  - I have none

anyone else got one of these and fitted it to slots in roof?

Its the genuine Subaru one not the travall version

thanks

Hi Mate,

no top brackets holes, it fixes via bolts at the bottom edge & a tension thread onto the window ledge -window pillar, (re the window pillar as in mine I think this might mess up air bags.

the only to bracket holes are the ones near the tailgate, I think for additional strapping of baby seat.

send the eBay link for a looksea.

Thanks this has passed feet on the threaded rods for the bottom, it's the top that just doesn't seem correct to me .

the brackets and screw things are for the top but I can't work it out !

looks to me that you are missing the bottom tubular frame, which is what I have, but mine is 2010.

I would use some heavy duty cable ties round the headrest supports/legs, as a short term fix.
