Dreamcatcher
Good afternoon, im matt 31 from Bournemouth, recently bought my first 2008 impreza sti hatchback in mica blue. Previously owned a few honda type rs, I'm a huge honda fan ( who isn't?) . i bought the subaru because it's a practical car ( had my first son 7 months ago). It looks the part and it has the fun factor as and when required. it unfortunally does not get driven half as much as I'd like to reason being I work out of a company works van in the week and i tend to my son in the evenings during the week while my wife's at work. So it's used mostly at the weekend. i will be tuning it some what not sure yet as to what, when and how much so you'll all have to be patient. pics :)

Dreamcatcher
Been a long few months since I updated this and a fair bit has changed with the hatch. The relationship with the hatch has almost become a love/hate type. Love when driving hate when I pay the £45pm road tax and feed the old girl with v-power every week or so. so what's happened with the hatch and what have I been upto. Shortly after I purchased my hatch I sensed some thing was not quite right with how it was running. Always smelt of fuel inside while driving and idled a tad rough. So I took it up to Surrey RR for a dyno session and not to my surprise it was running lean as hell while only producing 309bhp on a remapped ecu using ecutec. So without !Removed! about I got Duncan graham from race dynamics straight on it to get a safe remap done with the added racerom features the following week along with a warm idle limit raised to 900rpm. happy to say car than smelt fresh as roses and drove a lot nicer. About a month down the road the car then developed a misfire that turned out to be a duff coilpack, while I was have the. coilpack changed I had a compression check done averaged around 130psi across all 4 and new Bosch plugs fitted, Along with a oil and filter change. showtime...summer time came and the car was running like a dream so headed up to japday at castle Combe. Had a awesome day and the weather and turn out was fab, it was then onto Japfest rock at rockingham again great turnout good weather and it was also my first outing on the track. I can honestly say the Impreza sti hatchback handles like a sack of potatoes on the track with massive amounts of body roll and oversteer accompanied by horrendous brake fade. with that I got straight to it and ordered me some BC RM coilovers and wasted no time getting them fitted and have the geometry realigned by pro-tyre. summer over I thort it be a good time to change the sti hatchback headunit in favour for a fresh pioneer da120 double din appleplay unit. Sound fantastic with the stock sub under the passager seat. well lastly after umming and arring with what wheels to get I decided to go with the works D9R bronze in 18x8.5 et47. Currently wait on getting them wrapped in nankang ns2r semi slick rubber. Pics to follow, thanks for looking
